Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad 500

How do you get fruit in your diet when you're living on your food storage? Canned and frozen fruit is an easy way to do it. In the winter, you can enjoy fruit picked at its peak.

Any combination of the following:

Canned fruit: peaches, pears, mandarin oranges, pineapple, apricots, grapes

Fresh fruit: apples (these can store for months in the refrigerator)

Frozen fruit: blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pomegranates

In the picture above, I used home canned peaches, pears, apricots (from my garden), canned mandarin oranges (bought on case-lot sale) and frozen blackberries (from my garden).
