I was setting up my blanket and checking my light when this goose started honking repeatedly near me and then walked right in front of my camera today! It was followed by two other geese, each a different type of goose (the second goose was a Canadian goose). It was so funny!

Today, I’m thankful for some great new clients!

What are you thankful for today?

  1. I’m thankful our youngest son got a new job, during a pandemic, with a 12% raise! We are so, so happy for him! He’s very, very frugal, maybe even a bit extreme, but Mom still worries. He interviewed with someone he worked with in a previous job. A lesson in not burning your bridges!

  2. I am thankful for a governor who cares enough about the citizens of our commonwealth that he implements tighter restrictions in order to try to keep us safe from this virus. While I am not thrilled about these tighter restrictions I do appreciate the difficult decisions being made on my behalf. I just keep praying for a vaccine sooner than later. God will put things right in good time.

  3. I am thankful that the Minister stopped by and picked up my donations to the
food bank and that I even could donate to two food banks (the other one being the veteran’s food bank).
Knowing that he was stopping by, I raced to finish addressing and writing my Christmas cards so I could ask him to mail them for me (which he did). I only have a few international cards left to send, once I obtain international stamps.

I am thankful that a friend was able to pick up the cards that very morning from the store where I had them made.

Our church has suspended services due to the upsurge in Covid. I was thinking as I watched last week’s sermon online that it reminds me of when the early Christians confessed their faith in dark places hidden from the Romans.

I am thankful for beautiful weather, mild fall days, even though there is snow on the ground.

Great photo of a goose, Brandy. Do you know what species of a goose it is — I don’t know the species of geese in your area but to me it resembles an Egyptian of Asian goose…

  4. I am thankful for the free school lunches. I pick up 15 in total for us and our neighbors. It really helps feed our kids. If any foods are left, I freeze them. Today I opened 4 bags of frozen corn to warm for lunches.

  5. I’m finding it difficult to find your Amazon links in your November posts. If it’s me, tell me where to look. If you don’t have them this month, you may be missing out on a heavy shopping month. 🙁

    1. Hi Anne! I’ve had them at the end of most posts, but I haven’t done them on all of my thankful posts (and not on this one, as I went to bed late that day). They’ll be up on future posts (they’re on all my Frugal Accomplishments posts) so look there!

  6. I am thankful for our family being together for a breakfast of warm, baked French Toast and a walk on a trail beside the river this afternoon.

  7. I am thankful we got to spend the weekend with four of our grandkids so their parents could do an anniversary trip. We had a lovely time with them and spend the afternoon at the park yesterday, it was a blustery stormy sky but it didn’t rain.

  8. I’m thankful to live in this free nation where everyone has the right to voice an opinion. Grateful for the realization that as diverse as we are, we can all learn from one another and we can find common ground with each other if we’re willing to look!

  9. I am thankful for the .49 lb pasta sale that Kroger has until tomorrow! I was able to stock up for the year. I haven’t seen a sale that low since 2018. Saved me 50.00.
I am thankful for a savings account that allows me to pay my husband’s hopital bills off. Now to work on building it back up again!!

  10. I am thankful to have had a nerve block in my back done for free under our excellent healthcare plan. This helps keep me mobile and pain free.
