Today I am extremely grateful to have met up with an old friend whom I have not seen for over a decade. We were able to visit for quite a while, and I was able to share of our abundance with her from my garden and pantry.
What are you grateful for today?
I am grateful for the technology that allows us to Skype with our youngest granddaughter clear across the country while she opens her birthday gifts from us. She is turning 3, & loved making cookies with Grandma the last time she was here, so she will be opening an apron and 3 cookie cutters: a racing flag, Lightning McQueen, & a turkey. When her daddy was little, we always made turkey shaped sugar cookies for Thanksgiving, then frosted the cookies & used either candy corn or Indian corn to make the tail feathers. At 3, she is old enough to put on the tail feathers.
I am grateful that the health scare that landed my husband in the ED last night was resolved. I would be lost without him.
Today I am very thankful for our warm cozy home, as it is 28 degrees outside where we live.
I’m thankful for kitchen appliances! My crockpot became a vaporizer yesterday. I added cinnamon sticks to make the house smell good while moisturizing the air in our home. Today, it becomes a soup maker to fill our bellies with warmness on a very cold day.
Very grateful for a warm house and blankets….It is very cold here.
Speaking of friends, I am thankful for my best friend. When I first met her, I was pretty convinced I wasn’t going to like her. It is wonderful to be wrong. To me she is a rock, a vault and has the strongest shoulders.
