Today, I’m thankful for the chance to garden year-round.
What are you thankful for today?
Today, I’m thankful for the chance to garden year-round.
What are you thankful for today?
I’m thankful that we redid the garden and I have these beautiful roses! One of my reasons (and there were many) in wanting to relandscape the garden was to put in this particular rose (Desdemona from David Austin). What I didn’t know was that this rose would bloom almost nonstop in my garden, far outperforming…
Today I am thankful for the ability to be up and doing! While I am still healing and cannot sit, today I had the strength to get up and get some things done. After not being able to do much of anything the last two days, being out of bed for just a bit…
I’m thankful to see that some of my lettuce seeds are growing! I planted these in October, and while a good number had come up a month ago, the first leaves were quickly munched by something, and I was worried I had no lettuce growing at all. In another spot, just a little ways away,…
It’s the beginning of November, and that means it’s time for my daily gratitude posts! Each day in November, I share one thing for which I am grateful for that day, and I invite my readers to do the same! Today, I am very grateful for my dearest friend, who makes my life more joyful….
I saw something recently that asked the question, “What do you have today that you prayed for in the past?” It really struck me, because there are many things that I have enjoyed this year that I did not have in years past, as the budget did not allow for it. I thought about the…
I’m so thankful for my husband’s support in my photography business. He comes along as an assistant for me at every shoot. We had a great session earlier this evening and I was so grateful to have him there. I officially announced my business over on Facebook a while ago, but if you didn’t see…
I am so thankful for the free one to one assistance we are currently receiving from an ABA consultant for my daughter. We had a really good conversation yesterday (Nov 13th) about what we want my daughter to develop towards personal independence type skills. The consultant will help us develop a step by step program that will ultimately lead my daughter towards to doing more things by herself for herself and learning some housekeeping skills she will need to learn to be an independent adult. It will cost me money (we need some type of reward as she’s hard to motivate and there are very few things she will work for), it won’t be easy and it might take a long time, but in the long run, it will be worth it to have my daughter develop these important skills!
Although I cannot garden year round, I am thankful for the bounty our summer garden produces that we continue to enjoy year round.
Today, I am thankful for my washing machine and dryer. Right now, I can hear it humming, again. While sometimes I moan over the fact that the laundry never seems to end, today, I’m focusing on the fact that it is easy for me to wash and dry it. I can think of people in the world that need to wash it in the river, carry water for miles, or, closer to home, have to lug baskets to a laundrymat. 2 summers ago, I did just that–took it all to the laundry mat, as we were living in our camper that summer. What a joy it was to have the machine hooked up and running in our house when we moved in! And, I’m thankful that it works day in and day out, since hardly a day goes by when we don’t wash something.
11-13 Haha, I would have to say, honestly, that my thankfulness would be that I do not have to garden year round. I am so thankful when all is winding down beginning of October and done by November, even end of October. These are my six months of rest while the gardens sleep and rejuvenate, the compost perks away and we enjoy our preserved harvest.
I am thankful for a warm house on a cold morning.
I am Thankful for Gods Grace!
Today I am thankful that my insurance is finally processed at my new job so I can buy my new year’s supply of contacts! I’m on my last pair.
I am thankful for the frozen peppers I have in the freezer from our garden. I save so much money by not having to buy them in the store.
Thankful for beautiful music to listen to on Pandora. It creates a wonderful environment to do all my daily chores or to simply relax.
I am thankful for beautiful parks where I can take my kids for outdoor adventures
I am thankful that I get paid to workout as a licensed and franchised Jazzercise instructor!

I am thankful for cool weather! Heat plus humidity equals miserable summers in the South.
For a nice warm bed on cold nights.
It’s funny that you would show fresh citrus today! As I watered my indoor lemon tree, and gave it some serious shaking, (aka wind), I thought how wonderful it was to be able to grow lemons in the North! I have many, many flowers ready to open. It smells wonderful and makes me happy!
I am thankful for my full pantry and freezers. I worked all day. My son (18) stayed home sick. When I got home he asked me if I could make him some pasta fagioli soup. I had everything I needed on hand to make a big pot. Switched dinner around so that is what we ate instead. When hubby came come he was very happy to eat 2 bowls. There is plenty left for my son to eat tomorrow.
On the 13th, I was grateful to have a mechanic come repair our lawn mowers. Both of them had quit working. His prices were reasonable, and because he came to us with a mobile van, I did not have to try to load the one mower in the trunk of the car. I have no way to transport the riding mower anywhere, as neither of our cars are capable of towing a trailer.
I am so very thankful for electricity and all the many gifts from our Lord. I am so blessed.
I am thankful for getting help with next years health insurance costs via Obamacare and also being able to get the primary care doctor I wanted! I am also thankful that my husbands tooth extraction yesterday went well and he is pain free and recovering nicely. It is also beautiful in Arizona right now and I am thankful for morning walks.
Thankful for the conversation with my SIL today.
Hello Brandy and everyone 🙂 .
On the 13th I was thankful for being able to pick up 2 new pairs of jeans for a total of $10 from a local store and a pair of cotton shorts for $1 from a local op shop to replace items I had grown out of. I am also thankful that I was able to donate clothing that hopefully will help someone in need at a reasonable price.
I am thankful for the food in my freezer and pantry.
I am so moved because I found a box of old slides and I am thankful. There is a lovely photo of my uncle and his wife. They have both journeyed to the next world so I was very moved to find this slide. And there is one of my grandfather’s house.
I am hoping to find one particular slide of my uncle. I am praying for it.
I am glad to have stayed indoors as it is cold outside. I am looking forward to making soup out of leftover vegetables.
I am thankful for good friends. I don’t usually use bleach but I had to earlier today. I absent-mindedly just put some bleach in
with some dark clothes and am thankful that I caught my mistake in time… Whew!! I got all of the dark clothes out before the bleach got on them. I am busy washing clothes to give away to charity tomorrow and I was thinking of other things when I accidentally put the bleach in the holder.
I just bought a bag of Meyer lemons. Now I have to find a use for them…
Hi Tammy,
I just read your post in reply to mine. Glad to hear you are fitting all of your appointments in. Were you able to get continuation of health care coverage under COBRA? Were you able to ask your husband’s employer about it? The farmhouse
sounds wonderful! Keep on keeping on…
