I’m thankful for my husband going to the grocery store for me yesterday. while I stayed at home and painted. He called while there to ask me what else we might need from the store as they had a deal where if you spend $100, you get a free turkey. He bought several items that we normally buy and brought home a free 23-pound turkey!

What are you thankful for today?

  6. I am thankful for my fellow Torontonians. In a city of over 3 million, the mayor’s office announced this morning that we are only 150,000 shots away from being 90% fully vaccinated! And thank you to all the front-line workers who have worked so hard to make this possible,

  7. I am thankful the vet assistant spent some extra time with our dog today. It was hard on all of us including the staff to come in with only the youngest dog. She gave us some advice to help Charlotte “grieve” while she got her shots and nails clipped.

  8. I am so very thankful for all of the deep discounts I have found each time I’ve gone to the store. I didn’t intend to stockup, but I’m not turning down pantry building for my daughter and I. It’s such a relief as we live in an isolated area.

  9. I’m grateful for those posters who include where they live. I find it very interesting and helpful in evaluating the posts!

  10. I am grateful for all sorts of good things today! Our house is clean, a window awning just got replaced and our dog is groomed! An action packed day. Also we went to Home Depot and got two new garden hoses and two garden hose reels. We live in Arizona and the sun demolishes everything outdoors, so it is wonderful to have hoses again that work! Banner day here at my house ;). I also saw that one of the grocery store ads, starting tomorrow, has butter at $0.99/lb…first time in over a year I have seen that low a price.

  11. Grateful to have been able to attend a talk (via the internet) by a local author. I have been inspired to learn more about gardening after listening to him speak.

  12. Grateful for so much. For God, for healthy loved ones, good jobs, a cozy home with my hubby, full pantry, and having been taught to cook a frugal meal to make all of the food blessings stretch in a good way. Also, grateful for so many recipes shared through time and for new ones shared with me this year! Even though our home burned a few years ago, I can still make our favorites with recipes I had either saved on my blog or had shared with others so they weren’t all lost. Holidays are filled with comfort food and I am so grateful to still have our family’s favorite recipes to rely on. This time of year is a flood of memories and for me, food is a big part of that. I am so grateful that our favorite dishes keep on living in the hands and hearts that prepare them!

  13. I’m grateful that we could have dinner at my parents house tonight. After lockdown for quite a while following 20+ years of living on literal opposite sides of the US, they live less than a quarter mile away! Such a blessing.
Plus, Mom makes the best chicken soup ever. Delicious!

  17. I am thankful that my daughter is safe with all the storms in the Vancouver area-all the roads from here to there are washed out if we wanted to visit right now but safety is number one. Given goods can’t reach here by rail or road right now I am thinking we will soon run low on many staples such as bananas etc. I am also thankful that at playgroup today they had 3 simple crafts set up for the children to do-which meant set up and clean up were taken care of and I could focus on helping the 3, 2 year olds do the crafts.

  18. I am thankful for two lovely mums I picked up for $3 each that will bring beauty to our carport where the frost cannot touch them.

I am also thankful for a slow walk through JoAnne’s by myself. I enjoyed seeing the many new types of fabrics they are selling and all the inspirational ideas I got just browsing. It was quiet and peaceful and one thing I have missed during the pandemic.
