I’m thankful for a soft bed to sleep in at night when I go to bed, totally exhausted after getting everyone to bed, including the baby. It’s so nice to rest after a long day.
What are you thankful for today?

Today didn’t go as I had planned, yet I still managed to accomplish several needed things today, thanks to help from my family. My two youngest children were ill, but everyone helped to make them as happy and as comfortable as possible, and they took turns reading to and holding my youngest and helping extra…
I’m thankful for my two-year-old, who yesterday answered my childhood question of whether or not it was possible to stick green olives with pimentos on one’s fingers just as well as black olives. If your fingers are small enough, you sure can! I’m also thankful for all of his ugs, and his remark to…
My husband and I walked outside right before leaving to a photography session to check to see if we were dressed warmly enough. While we stood outside, it started to snow! It snowed for about 30 seconds, tiny balls of snow that at first looked like hail. It then turned to slush and rain. I…
Many years ago, as a university student, I took a New Testament class from a great professor. I later became his teacher’s assistant until the time of his “official” retirement at the age of 72. He lived another 20 years, though, working and researching continuously. Today, I found a listing about him on Wikipedia, and…
I’m thankful that I slept until my alarm went off, rather than awakening 90 minutes earlier like I have most days this past week. What are you thankful for today?
Today I am thankful for a roof over my head, a warm bed to sleep in, and food to eat. Over 11,200 children in my area are homeless, and the temperatures are going to drop here at the end of the week. I feel very blessed for the warmth, full bellies, and joys that we…
Thankful for the beautiful day given to us and the chance to impact positively on some one else life.
I am thankful for the stages of life and the gifts of each, now especially the wisdom from experience of the elderly.
I am thankful for family that will be traveling to be with us for Thanksgiving.
I am thankful that my 95 year old mother has successfully recovered from surgery not even two weeks ago. Enough so that she can spend Thanksgiving with my family.
Brandy, today I am thankful for YOU and the community you’ve created.
I am not LDS, but I’ve kept food storage for 49 of the 50 years I’ve been married. With two moves in the last year, we ate nearly everything so we wouldn’t have to move it. Over the past month, I’ve started re-building in a big way, and I enjoyed reading your posts again last night.
Now, I have an idea of how all of us can give you a big Christmas present. Please do not delete or edit this…which I know you will be tempted to do, LOL. Over the next few weeks until Christmas, I think many of us will place at least one order with Amazon. It would be great if all of us remembered to place our order(s) through your site. Readers, just click on any of the items on the right side of the page, which will take you to Amazon. Place your order for whatever you want (not necessarily the items shown) and Brandy will receive a small commission. It doesn’t cost us anything to do this and Brandy will receive a nice check for Christmas!
Thank you to all!
I’m thankful that Maxine is so thoughtful! I never would have thought of that!
Also, thankful, although sad, for the 17.5 years with our cat, who passed away last night at home.
I’m thankful that I was able to call a plumber today when our toilet had an issue that my husband couldn’t fix, and that he was able to come out within an hour, knew exactly what was the issue, and fixed it promptly. I’m also thankful that we had the money to pay for the plumber.
Maxine, great idea. Very easy to do, too.
Oh, Jo, I am sorry for the loss of your cat.
Maxine, great idea, thank you!
I am thankful for so much, hard to figure out what to mention. I am thankful for a reduction in the back pain my husband feels. He has been exercising to improve his muscle tone and we hadn’t really seen any benefits related to pain reduction (although his muscle tone is better), so it was a bit disheartening. But finally, nine months into increased exercise, he is feeling better! Yeah!
Today I’m thankful for wood heat, the land that provides it, and a husband who does everything to make it so.
I am thankful for my health.
I am thankful that my physical therapist was able to resolve a problem with my jaw that was causing me some major issues. I am feeling much better now.
(And I, too, am thankful for a comfy bed!)
I am thankful for my dear son who has been caring and helpful when I’ve not been feeling well.
I too am thankful for my bed – it’s not the most comfortable, but it’s ours and I’m so grateful to have it! I am also grateful that I have a home with central heating to come home to each night. So many don’t have a place to go home too much less a bed (of any kind) to sleep in.
Rest well, Brandy.
Lea
Today I am grateful for the encouragement God sends through others.
I am grateful for the new bed I bought last April. And I am thankful for a warm home. I am really grateful for the lovely weather we are going to have for the next week. Ann
I am thankful for having printed out my Christmas cards a couple of months ago so I don’t need to write in them with my bad arm/hand. I am grateful that I have some range of motion in the arm. It is not joined yet but here is hoping and praying.
Thankful that I could go shopping for Thanksgiving supplies and had enough money to pay for everything I wanted to buy (used coupons, of course, when I could, including a 20% off if you bought $50 or more. My bill before the 20% off was $51.15!)
I am thankful for our public service workers, especially those who will man their stations over the holidays.
I’m thankful for the extra cleaning that has been accomplished in anticipation for Thanksgiving. More will happen tomorrow, and it’s going to be so nice to have things clean. My husband worked quite a bit out in the shop, cleaning and organizing this past couple of weeks, which has nothing to do with the holiday as no one will go out there, but still gives us a great sense of satisfaction. In my house cleaning, I did find a few items that had gone missing, and I am thankful to have those back in hand!
That is wonderful news!
I am thankful for my mom, who opened her home to us when we were financially struggling so many years ago. Her support with my Autistic daughter has also been just incredible. I am also thankful for my husband. He is truly my best friend and I look forward to spending one on one time with him when we travel next April.
I am so very happy for her and you. My 95-year-old mom ended up in the hospital in August and a skilled nursing facility for September. She had no interest in her kitchen until last week. But yesterday, feeling almost as good as she did last spring, made us a fried ham and canned baked beans dinner. I am so proud of her tenacity.
We have experienced torrential rain this morning in Sydney and I am so thankful the people who built our house 100 years ago did such a good job. No leaks, ever.
