Narcissus 2 The Prudent Homemaker

I’m grateful for the beautiful weather we had today. It was warm enough for the children to play outside and there was no wind. The children enjoyed eating lunch outside.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Today I am thankful that it’s our final walk-through on our new home. We’ve been waiting for this moment for nearly 4 months.

Honestly, I’m thankful for many things, everyday.

  2. I am thankful for finding seconds of apples at a local produce stand. Now I have lots to make pies for my family and a dinner for college students.

  3. I am thankful for having the time to spend the entire day making Christmas gifts. I was able to complete 2 infinity scarves, cut a $3 pillow in half to make 2 throw pillow forms (not an easy task, but it worked), cut some white cloth for the front panel of each throw pillow, traced out 2 different patterns (printed from the internet) onto the panels and almost finish embroidering one of the patterns. I am extremely pleased with how much I was able to accomplish in just one day!

My daughter also came home really excited from school. They are currently doing volleyball in gym and she is struggling with connecting with the ball. When she finally hit the ball today, causing it to ricochet off the wall, all of her classmates began to clap and cheer! I am thankful they were so supportive and my daughter could see the humour in her accomplishment.

  4. Hello one and all from Australia :D.

Today I am thankful that my husband and I work so well to get our tasks done. We were able today to have a spiffy cleaning day & clean the oven, venetian blinds, all the fronts of the kitchen cupboards & all the glass windows both inside and out in the bathroom, toilet & laundry areas & clean the bathtub, shower screen, vanity and toilet & mop all the vinyl floors.

We are doing spring cleaning plus getting a head start on deep cleaning for our rental inspection on Wednesday of next week.

  5. I am thankful to have an entire pantry room (6×8) that is dedicated to all our food storage and small appliance storage. I have no idea how I stored food before hubby built it for me. I am incredibly thankful that my husband is able to do most home improvement and car repair tasks. If he doesn’t know how, he looks it up and figures it out which makes me so proud of him.

  6. A beautiful day with a nice breeze to hang laundry outside. We are going to have dinner out tonight with our Bible study group. (I even have a good coupon to us and as a surprise for others I have extra coupons for them too.) I am also happy that tomorrow we are supposed to have a “cold front” come through and drop the temp. to around 40. I have chili and corn bread on my menu. I plan to make extra corn bread for the dressing too. I am thankful that we got a turkey given to us too. So this year our ham and turkey are FREE. We will be traveling for the holiday. I am looking forward to seeing family I have not seen in a long time.

  7. I am thankful for the continuing challenge of which blessings to list here everyday. I really appreciate the chance to sit here thinking about the good things in life, and spend time to be thankful and find the positive. Thank you Brandy again for doing this blog topic.

Specifically today I am glad that my tooth (which had a root canal on Weds.) continues to feel better and that my husband is feeling good.
I am also thankful for our dog, who is asleep on the bed behind me, all stretched out in the sun, snoring away 🙂

  8. I am thankful that my extended family intends to draw names this Christmas so that everyone gives and receives one gift. That will help many of us who are trying to be frugal, and I think we will still have such a nice gathering just enjoying each other and celebrating the birth of Our Lord.

  9. I’m so thankful that Rob and I are away together on a night alone for the first time in over 2-1/2 years. Thanks to a gift certificate we received last Christmas, that came with babysitting, we are enjoying this treat!
