It has been a busy past couple of days and I didn’t post, so today’s post is for three days.
I am grateful that I had a small job for someone. It gave me the money to make a small purchase that I was wanting to make.
I am grateful that I was able to spend a small amount of time working in the garden.
I am grateful that I was able to reorganize part of a room that was becoming messy. I hope to finish it soon!
What are you grateful for?
I am grateful for a chance to sleep extra today. There is a virus going around at work and my mother is immunocompromised right now – getting sick would not be good. The extra sleep will help prevent that.
I am also grateful for lovely fall weather. It allowed me to get my rose cones over the roses and do other yard work today.

I’m thankful previous me put up fewer Halloween decorations, so current me was able to take them down/put them all away in less than an hour.
I’m thankful for 70% off Halloween candy.
I’m thankful for warm fall days that don’t require heat.
I am grateful for all the healthcare professionals who help us and our animals. Thanks for their skill and dedication.
I am thankful for grandchildren who bring joy, laughter and hope to my days. I am thankful for every day God gives me. I’m thankful for excellent medical staff who repaired my heart and saved my life 9 months ago. I’m thankful for a husband who recognized my atypical heart attack symptoms, got me to the hospital in record time and gave me excellent care in recovery.
I am grateful for friends,
Music,
And the free firewood we are getting from a neighbor today.
I am grateful for strong feet and legs that allow me to walk comfortably and “run” errands. I am grateful to watch the seasons change and to observe the differences in light. I am grateful that I learned to knit several years ago. It brings me a lot of pleasure.
I am thankful for the relationship I have with my daughter-in-law. We are both quiet, shy and introverted, but strong. We have always been friendly but over the years, slowly, we have become good friends. After all, we love the same people.
I am grateful for warm blankets and warm coats. Simple things mean so much, especially if you don’t have them.
I am thankful for the rhythms and habits of my home, as my husband, son, and I work together.
I sometimes wish for more variety or excitement, and I am thankful they don’t mind me trying new things.
I am grateful that my severed tendon has healed enough on its own (after 5 years) that I have partial use of the arm. Although it is still painful,I am grateful that I can raise the arm partially – enough to do many chores.
And I am grateful that people, strangers and friends, help me when there are chores beyond my capability. I have learned that it is okay to ask for help.
I am especially grateful for the 2 friends who buy groceries for me every other week.
I am grateful our friend left her 3 well behaved boys with us for a few days while they were away. They kept us busy. My friend paid me $400 and also sent along enough food to feed an army.
Today is November 5th and it is my birthday. I am so grateful for each and every day, for my family and friends. As I sit here on the couch, I am watching my husband mow the lawn one last time. I am especially grateful for him…he does everything for us and never complains. I am usually out helping clean up the yard, but suffered colitis from an antibiotic a week ago, ended up in the ER while I was visiting my children and grandchildren. It really brought into focus how much good health means. Thanking God for healing. Thank you, Brandy.
Tissue to wipe away tears, socks to warm the feet, a gentle smile to gladden the heart.
Today and everyday I am thankful that I live in a friendly and caring neighborhood.
Finally getting the basement pantry, freezer room, and bucket room totally organized and cleaned AND all the canning put away. I don’t usually do anything on Sundays but it really needed done.
I always love the November Thankful series!

I’m grateful for my church community.
I’m grateful for a bountiful apple harvest from our trees.
I’m so grateful for gifts given to me by loved ones who have died. Their memories fill these gifts and give me great joy.
I am grateful for arms & legs that do my bidding. Although I am a senior citizen, I stay physically active. I know not all are able to do this. Walking from the parking lot, walking in the neighborhood, and so on. I aim for 10,000 steps a day.
I am grateful for whatever will and determination I mustered today — which seems like isn’t enough sometimes, but today it was and we were able to finish a task that has been looming for literally months — finishing a small area of fencing around a garden extension, which now looks so much better and has freed up the dolly to which was strapped the reused post-in-concrete for (I’m ashamed to admit) six months. Ugh. And now I am also thankful for ibuprofen, which this 64-year-old body needs right now!
-I am grateful for the ability to research on the internet.
-I am grateful for the cookies my children baked over the weekend, that were delicious with a cup of tea this morning.

-I am grateful I stayed within my annual gift budget and have finished all Christmas shopping and wrapping.
-I am grateful I get a reprieve from Christmas next year & will only need to buy very small gifts for my children.
I am very grateful to God our Healer! Five months ago I suffered almost complete hearing loss in my left ear. But then on Saturday, Nov 4th, out of the blue, God healed my ear and my hearing is completely restored! I am so thanking and praising Him! Hearing is such a very precious gift.
I am grateful for a successful gallbladder removal surgery, for an easy (so far!) recovery, for health insurance, for relief of the symptoms that have plagued me for many years, and for my wonderful husband for taking such good care of me. I am also grateful for beautiful cool fall weather last week that enabled us to go an entire week with no air conditioning running!
I am thankful for a friend I can disagree with. I am thankful for the love and respect there is.
I am grateful for an earache. I thought it was an emergency root canal! And ear infection is much less expensive. While at urgent care, I slipped into a small lingerie place I went to five years ago. There is a tiny babushka (Russian grandma) who’s is a bra fitting specialist. I haven’t done it for years and my bras were very uncomfortable which is life changing for large breasted women. I went from a 34G to a 36G. I bought four bras which were on sale but still expensive. I have posted the older ones on Poshmark. So I am thankful for the luxury and comfort of well fitted undergarments. A boost to m0ral, posture and physical comfort.
I am thankful for neighbors who share so freely and generously, this week they left persimmons and more heritage pumpkins. I was able to share pumpkin muffins and persimmon cookies with them.
I am also thankful that I was able to pick the garden before the frost last week, I have tons of tomatoes and peppers to share with my kids, neighbors and church family!
I’m grateful that God gave me husband who loves me. I am grateful to be able to walk more. I am grateful for family.
