I’m thankful for ripe lemons in the garden. I made lemonade tonight with our dinner.

Today I am thankful that the Swiss chard and lettuce seeds that I sowed in the garden last week are germinating! What are you thankful for today?
It’s the beginning of November, and that means it’s time for my daily gratitude posts! Each day in November, I share one thing for which I am grateful for that day, and I invite my readers to do the same! Today, I am very grateful for my dearest friend, who makes my life more joyful….
I’m thankful to learn, after talking with my daughter, which skills she has learned from me and continued in her own holiday traditions. What are you thankful for today?
Today, I am thankful for the chance to go slowly. I needed the rest. What are you thankful for today?
Today I am thankful for a roof over my head, a warm bed to sleep in, and food to eat. Over 11,200 children in my area are homeless, and the temperatures are going to drop here at the end of the week. I feel very blessed for the warmth, full bellies, and joys that we…
I am thankful for three good hair days in a row! That’s unusual 🙂 What are you thankful for today?
Your lemon trees are very pretty. Mine are not so much. Are your trees in the ground or are they planted in pots? Mine are in big pots so I can move them in freezing weather. Maybe I should put them into the ground.
Tonight I am thankful for sleep. After church I slept most of the afternoon away. Now I am trying to get things done. I don’t however feel real good. I am having hot flashes and light headed. I just made an appointment with a doctor on line for tomorrow. Something has got to give.
Great minds! My daughter and I just made a lemon cake for daddy’s birthday tomorrow with lemons from our little tree!
Hello one and all from Australia :D.
Today I am thankful for the lovely storm that just rolled over and dropped around 1mm of rain to water my gardens, and new grass seed planted.
The lemons are beautiful!
I am very thankful that my husband was approved to work Black Friday. We will get the money before Christmas, so at least we KNOW there will be extra.
I am thankful that if we all had to have colds, at least we had them over the weekend, we spent a lot of time driving the baby around as that is the only way she will nap, but made the best of it by taking the boys to the train store and things like that, they had a great time.
I never thought I’d think it, but I am thankful we are not having a big Thanksgiving, since now there is no pressure on me to meet everyone’s Holiday Expectations.
I am thankful for the wedding quilt that has been on my bed for 22 years that my grandmother made when we married. It still keeps us warm on cold nights!
I am thankful for a 50% off code that I received in an email that allowed us to buy a lovely Christmas gift for my MIL at a very reasonable price. I am also thankful that winter was kind enough to hold off until the end of November this year.
I love your lemon tree, Brandy. We are not lucky enough to grow such things here in Canada. It’s a novelty to see such things for us. Thanks you for sharing the picture!
How incredibly beautiful! Lemons don’t grow well here…I’d love to pick one off of there! 🙂
Today I am thankful for our home. As much as we say it’s too small and we’d love a bigger place, it’s warm, functional, and cozy. It’s dreadfully cold outside and I’m thankful to be in the heat today.
I am thankful for our woodstove which helps us keep the heat from coming on as much. It isn’t very large but is enough.
Today I am truly grateful for my husband. We had a miscarriage this weekend (would have been #4). and he knew all the right things to say, let me rest while he played out in the snow with the kids, and helped cook and clean.
I am sorry for your loss. I hope that you feel better soon.
That lemon tree, tho! How lovely!
Today I am thankful for my husband who took off work today to take care of the children while I am in bed with a stomach bug. He is so good with them and they will enjoy this time with them.
I am grateful for the public libraries. It is wonderful to give my kids access to so many books without having to accumulate more.
Faith, I am so very sorry. please know that I am praying for you and your family. The loss of a child is a terrible burden to bear. God bless you with comfort and peace.

Faith—so sorry about your miscarriage. It’s a terrible disappointment and very sad.
I am thankful today for having recovered from my recent illness and for being able to drive myself to the doctor appointment I had today instead of relying on my husband for that. He is happy with my progress.
Brandy, it truly is a beautiful tree!!! I was glancing through my Southern Living magazine and thought of you when I saw a garland of lemon and magnolia leaves beautifully draped over a mirror. I took a picture but cannot figure out how to post the photo. Perhaps I will try to post it on your Facebook wall. It’s stunning!!!
Praying for you and your family.
Lea
Thank you ladies. I am comforted knowing it happened sooner than later.
Today I am thankful that I do not have to run the heat .It is 83 degrees here. The lemon are so lovely. I can almost smell them from here.

Today I am thankful for the time I am getting to spend with my nieces and nephew. It’s been a while since we enjoyed the company of all 3 and I am really enjoying the time with them.
I am very sorry for your loss.
Oh My, I have never seen a lemon tree loaded down like that. I live in rural MS and have only ever seen one lemon tree in my life. How old is yours and how did it start out, as something you bought at nursery? What do you do with all those lemons? I love lemons. Sorry for all the questions but I am fascinated that you have that growing in your yard. But then again you might be fascinated with the acre of pecan trees that I have growing in my front yard thanks to my daddy planting them before my parents even built our house 50 years ago.
I am thankful that my husband brought in our remaining pumpkins from the garden (around 100-150 lbs alltogether) before the first frost would destroy them. Now I can make pumpkin puree and freeze it for the next year until we have fresh pumpkin again.
I think candied lemon peels would be in order
What a beautiful lemon tree! Lemons here in Brazil are green (in fact, they are limes) or orange (a sort of sour clementine). Lemon trees are such an asset for a family, congratulations!
I am sorry for your loss. I also had a miscarriage and it was very painful. Have faith that you will be together again one day. Hugs
It is good that you have a loving husband to support you with your physical needs and one that share your spiritual needs as well.
Last week was one of those – Good News Week and I am thankful for it. One son got a significant pay raise and the other son got a new job with a significant pay raise. It is important to have our children on secure footing and that is what this did.
