I am thankful that my children did their chores this evening. They were gone all morning serving others (cleaning the church building, and collecting food for the food bank for Scouting for Food) and the house was a disaster when they left. Amazingly, they got all of their chores done for the whole day…
I’m thankful we were able to get our van fixed in a timely manner! What are you thankful for today?
I’m thankful to learn, after talking with my daughter, which skills she has learned from me and continued in her own holiday traditions. What are you thankful for today?

It’s the beginning of November, and that means it’s time for my daily gratitude posts! Each day in November, I share one thing for which I am grateful for that day, and I invite my readers to do the same! Today, I am very grateful for my dearest friend, who makes my life more joyful….
I am thankful for people who imagine, invent, create, repair, and otherwise manipulate objects and ideas in ways I never think of, and often take for granted.
I’m thankful for a cozy bed. Years ago I bought Christmas plaid flannel sheets I bring out each year. I put them on last night and woke up this morning in a very warm, cozy, cocoon of holiday cheer. Made especially special by frugally not running the heat overnight. I am thankful and grateful for a warm bed.
What a beautiful, colorful harvest!
We’re all a little buggy here, nothing major but enough to feel icky, and so I’m grateful that we’re able to give our bodies the opportunity to rest.
I’m grateful for friends and the chance to get together.
I am thankful for two family members who stepped forward with unexpected words of strong support for another family member who needed to know she was seen. These two were angels for her in that moment.
Your veggies look delicious! They make me want to plan my garden for next summer, even though we wouldn’t be planting until late May.
We had snow fall today – I’m grateful for safe driving taking my children back to University after the Thanksgiving holiday and then returning home.

I am grateful for a local store that has great sales on healthy food. I am grateful that we were able to go to the store even though we got 7 inches of snow last night. I am grateful for my husband that shoveled all that snow and cleared off my car and filled the tires with air. I’m grateful that we have a happy family in a warm house with great smells of homemade broth cooking.

I am grateful for a daughter’s kind words that tasks I undertake at home are noticed and appreciated and that a close friend of hers is quietly observing and learning from me. I feel privileged.
