My husband and I walked outside right before leaving to a photography session to check to see if we were dressed warmly enough. While we stood outside, it started to snow! It snowed for about 30 seconds, tiny balls of snow that at first looked like hail. It then turned to slush and rain.

I went back inside for umbrellas and my camera–and it didn’t rain for the entire session! I am thankful that it stayed dry, even though everyone was cold! I still was able to get some great shots of the visiting families.

What are you thankful for today?

  2. I am thankful it isn’t snowing (current temp on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. is 66 degrees)!

My serious item (not that no snow isn’t) is that my daughter has gotten a job where she is eligible for medical and other benefits starting on December 1. She has remained on my benefits because she is young enough but I am retiring in late January and going on Medicare so insurance is going to be here responsibility now. The timing is pretty darn near perfect.

  3. I am thankful for my children and my husband. I know too many people mourning the loss of a spouse and/or children. I am so grateful that all my children are here on earth with me and that my husband is raising them with me. They make my life richer and my days full. I am grateful and blessed.

  7. I am thankful that a friend treated me to juice while she had coffee and that she gave me a lift to pick up my medicines. I was thankful for a lovely visit with her. I didn’t remember that it was Black Friday week and the traffic was fierce and the stores packed but I found a table right away. I am thankful that she picked up pesticide free apples for me at the farmers’ market and that the car smelled like apples on our way home. I don’t see this friend except once or twice a year in person although we email each other. While at Indigo (a Canadian bookstore with coffee area) we met a lady from the UK who has her own blog or IG so my friend traded IG handles with her. Small world! In fact I met my friend because of her Instagram.
