I’m thankful for a freezer, which makes it possible to stock up on food when it’s on a good sale, and provides a way to keep food from the garden.
What are you thankful for today?

I am thankful to be back online! Yesterday morning, I unintentionally downloaded several viruses onto my computer! Using free programs, and some serious searching and manula deleting (the viruses installed themselevs in mutiple places and made the folders hidden), I was able to remove the viruses and get back online (just now). I am…
I’m thankful today for good books to read, and the chance to step outside for a few minutes. What are you thankful for today?
I am thankful for the opportunity to mentor my neighbors teenage daughter. Her mom asked for my help and I am honored. My baby started college this year and my empty nest was leaving a hole in my heart. I prayed for a ministry and God dropped this young lady in my life. I invited her to come groom our horse yesterday and she was thrilled and it gave me a chance to work with her and begin the process of encouraging her and making her feel loved and valued.
I am so thankful for my freezer as well. It has been a huge blessing to our family. I am also grateful for a new mom that donated 93 gallons of her milk for my DIL and son for, their new triplets,My DIL’s , BIL, drove 34 hours one way to deliver it to them. They were able to buy a CL freezer to hold the supply. THank the Lord for freezers and people’s incredible generosity!
I am thankful for my stock pile of food. It is very windy today. So happy I do not need to go out!
I am thankful for leftovers today. I was able to make a delicious and nutritious shepherd’s pie from the leftover roast beef from Sunday’s dinner and threw in some leftover corn that was floating around in the fridge too. Everything else was pulled from my well stocked pantry. I made the casserole up this morning, so I will have flexibility to take my daughter and her friend to the mall after school for some much needed socializing, if these plans come to fruition.
Today I am grateful for the opportunity to donate food to my daughter’s school food drive and my local Salvation Army food pantry. It feels so good to be able to help others, even in a small way.
Today I am thankful to be a citizen of the United States of America. We live under the rule of law with a strong constitution that depends on a peaceful transfer of government. We live in a country that is based on freedom and, for this, I am both grateful and proud to be an American.
Such lovely comments from everyone, as always!
Today I’m thankful for having a day off in the middle of the week, so that I can sleep in, catch up on household chores, and bake to my heart’s content. Such a delicious luxury to be able to sleep in!
After the election, I’m very thankful that my eyes are on a Heavenly father and not an earthly king.
Today I am thankful for another birthday and Co workers who give such thoughtful gifts. So happy to be blessed with another year on this earth.
Triplets!! How wonderful for you!
Amen to that.
Still very thankful for cooler weather. It has been in the 70’s all day. After weeks in the 90’s this is a blessing. Thankful too for a full freezer and full pantry. We are blessed.
Grateful for a quiet day with no appointments so I can re-adjust my attitude from the disappointment of last night’s election results. And also for my experience, having voted before for unsuccessful candidates, so that I know from experience that life goes on, and I did all I could to contribute my vote. I hope it works out much better than I could have dreamed.
Now we can focus on preparations for Thanksgiving and Christmas and forget politics for a while.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to take a long nap today, having stayed up waaaay too late last night watching the election results come in. :p
Even though I do not like the early darkness now, I am thankful for the daylight savings plan. The rural children are no longer standing out in the dark in the morning waiting to get onto the buses.
I am thankful for my freezer full of food and my well stocked pantry. Its the reason I can keep my grocery budget so low.
Thankful for a successful school meeting for the newly arrived Syrian Refugee Family. Doors closed, windows opened.
I’m thankful for the time i was able to put into raising my children. At the time, it was difficult and i went into it dragging my feet. All these years later, with children who are smart, articulate, funny and hard working, i know that staying home with the kids was the best thing i’ve ever done.
I am thankful that I feel better today. I hate stomach bugs.
I’m thankful I’m even in a mindset to try to find positives and hope after the election. I’m grateful my adorable daughter is too young to be aware of what’s going on so that she can continue to be a ray of sunlight, making me smile and giving me hugs when I need it most.
I am thankful that my grandson is living with his father and not standing in the dark on our rural road waiting for the bus .He was getting picked up at 7 and it doesn’t get light until 8 and he’s in school. I am thankful that I have 3 full deep freezers even though it is mostly from the gardens and I do not have the room I would like for turkeys and hams. I have food and that is what matters. I am thankful for living in a country where we can vote for our leaders and not be told who is leading us and there never being a choice. I am thankful my strong faith when times that surround me test it
I am also thankful for two large freezers, one which holds our meat, milk and butter and the other that is filled to the brim with blanched and frozen vegetables picked from our gardens.
