Potatoes 500

I am grateful for the gift of 50 pounds of potatoes that I was given from a friend of my mother’s. That was an unexpected surprise and we will have no trouble eating them!

  1. What a beautiful blessing! Just think of all the yummy ways to eat them.
    I am thankful for my husband who sat down to brainstorm how best to,prepare for the holidays. We have several of our kids and their families coming for several weeks and there is a lot of preparation to be done.

  2. I am thankful that today is (supposed :)) to warm up a bit. I think my neighbor and I might get to finish planting our fall bulbs in her greenhouse! (I’m thankful we have such wonderful neighbors!)

  3. I am thankful for a warm house with a cozy fireplace that keeps us warm on a cold night. First sign of winter arrived and it is brutally cold out there! Yuck!!!

  4. I’m so very thankful for a job that allows me to work part time and to take extended leave to travel or just to be at home. How do you preserve your potatoes or do you use them before they go bad?

  5. I’m thankful that the snowplows didn’t plow at 2:30 AM, which is their usual MO. The snow held off til daylight hours.

  6. I am thankful today for the rain holding off until the washing was almost dry and only having to put it in the clothes dryer for a short time.

  7. I am thankful that are cars are paid for and we don’t have CC debt. We were not always so smart. It took us many years to dig out of debt. We will never go back. We are currently building up our emergency fund to make sure we succeed.

  8. I am thankful for the fact that even though I was mandated to work overtime, it will provide me with the extra income to replace the brakes on my vehicle and not needing to resort to credit usage.
