Happy Thanksgiving! I am grateful for an electric mixer that makes it easy to whip egg whites and whipping cream! What are you thankful for today?
I’ve gone to bed exhausted the last several days, as we’ve been shoveling the rocks that are our native garden “soil” and loading them onto a trailer to take to the dump. So, today’s post is for both yesterday and today. While my husband was getting rid of the rocks, I took a few minutes…
I was worried that it would be hard for my children to play in the backyard, now that it’s all dug up and they can no longer use the swings or the merry-go-round while we relandscape the garden. I shouldn’t have been worried. My four-year-old son said to me today, “I’m so glad that dad…
I am thankful for a little boy who was listening at church, even when I thought he wasn’t. I know he was listening, because the speaker said he was grateful for the prayers that had been made on his behalf. My young son whispered to me, “What’s a bee half?” What are you thankful for…

I am thankful for the wonderful staff who work with my daughter this year at school. She is still having difficulties, but they are committed to helping her in a positive way. Despite having issues, she is doing much better in this school environment than last year. We are so grateful for everything the staff are doing to help DD be successful.

I am thankful that there are visiting physicians and nurse practitioners in our area who accept Medicare so my very elderly mother won’t have to venture out of the house for primary care this winter. And knowing skilled medical help is just a phone call away is so reassuring.
What a lovely photo! Thank you for sharing!
I am grateful for sunshine today – the weather has been so gray and dreary this fall. It’s cold, so I will stay inside, but the sunshine is so much appreciated!

I am thankful for my three good friends. Even though I don’t see them as often as I would like, talking to them always brightens my day, and I am so glad they are in my life.
Today I am thankful that my BFF’s 85-y-o sister has been accepted for a brand new cottage in a senior facility 3 minutes away from my friend, who is her only relative and helps take care of her. She is moving next weekend. Sis is in Hospice. I’m glad her last days will be close to family in a beautiful new home where heat is included in the rent!
I am thankful for a beautiful day and the love of family and friends.
I’m thankful for the sale that let me stock up a bit today and gave me two 15 pound turkeys for the price of one. Everything is in the pantry and freezer and will come in handy these next few months which will be tight for my family. I don’t mean to sound braggy or self righteous but I’m thankful that I had $10 in my pocket to share with a man yesterday who did not have $4 to purchase a prescription that he needed. It was late & the Charities that could help him were closed . I was glad I could do this for him and give him a little extra to catch the bus to the store and back. His sincerity and gratitude made me feel so good.
I’m thankful I live in a smaller condo and not a huge house, so there’s less to clean! 🙂 Also thankful for a comfy bed.

Brandy, what a lovely picture! He looks very happy and I am sure your son is having a memorable time together with him. This is your husband’s father then, correct? He lost his wife about 5 years ago now, if I remember right.
