I’m thankful that I was able to get the pies made and the turkey cooked! I also made French bread and yogurt. This leaves me a lot less to cook on Thanksgiving.
What are you thankful for today?

I am thankful to my daughter, Winter, who made spaghetti today while I was pulling the basil plants from the garden.
Today, I am grateful for Richard Sparks. He was a huge help in moving the blog over to the website, helping me to make the change to a website that would work on mobile devices, and working out all of the little details that I could not have done on my own on the…
Today, I am grateful for the pleasure of a video phone call to friends in France. I am still amazed that this technology exists and that it doesn’t cost anything to call (so different from paying high prices per minute for a regular phone call!) plus I get to see everyone’s smiles and see how much their children…
I am thankful for Thanksgiving leftovers. They made my day so much easier and left me with more time to work on other projects.
Today I am thankful for my children’s generosity and desire to serve others. What are you thankful for today?
Today I am thankful for the Swiss chard (silverbeet) that reseeded itself in my garden earlier this year. The plants were big enough to cut for dinner tonight, and there is plenty more to eat several more nights soon (plus, of course, it will keep growing). What are you grateful for today?
Today I am just thankful for everything and everyone in my life.
Good, bad or indifferent all of those things have made me who I am…and I like me. *smile*
I’m glad you are getting better, Brandy. God bless and keep you.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
I am thankful my husband and I were able to travel to Las Vegas to visit my sister and her family this week. We are having Thanksgiving dinner at their house later today. Usually they are alone on Thanksgiving so it is special for them too.
I’m thankful we aren’t eating Thanksgiving feast until Friday. I can be really leisurely about preparations!
I am thankful for another successful day working the school programs at my work. The children are so much fun to work with!
I am also thankful that my daughter’s teacher is doing such a wonderful job at incorporating drama into their curriculum. For the past couple days she has come home and enthusiastically told us about the funny game they are playing in drama. For those who are home schooling or maybe looking for a fun family game with a bit of fun, the game involves three buckets, one with verbs, one with nouns and one adjectives. A group of about 3 or 4 children have to randomly pick out one slip of paper from each bucket, then they have to combine the three words and act it out. One of the things they had to act out was “catching, spiky, butterflies”. It sounds like a lot of fun for all age groups! I’m so thankful my daughter is enjoying school this year!
I am thankful for the 22 combined woman-hours my family put in Wednesday on my house. There were 5, including me, and we worked for 5 hours, and 1 sister and I for 1 more hour. (I’m not counting any time before or after for myself doing additional tasks.) They moved the couch and vaccumed, swept behind things, mopped, cleaned the bathrooms extremely well, did laundry, set up the tables, etc., etc., etc. I was so blessed by their help. I call it “cleaning to the corners” and that’s just what they did. There have been 6 children at my house since Sunday and Rob took 5 away all day (1 to work, 4 with him, youngest stayed here) so we could clean more thoroughly. We’ve had a blast with the cousins!
