Thankful Series

I am thankful to be back online! Yesterday morning, I unintentionally downloaded several viruses onto my computer! Using free programs, and some serious searching  and manula deleting (the viruses installed themselevs in mutiple places and made the folders hidden), I was able to remove the viruses and get back online (just now). I am thankful that we could use my husband’s computer to search online for solutions and download a program to a thumb drive to move it onto my computer.

I am thankful for being forward thinking when I was in my twenties and deciding to buy a sewing machine. I am also thankful for all the great ideas for DIY Christmas presents. They are coming in really handy! I sure hope everyone likes what I’ve made them.

  5. I am thankful for a well stocked pantry and the crockpot full of chicken tortilla soup that my family asked for that is now cooking and will be a yummy dinner on this rainy day. No trip to the grocery required ! Yay!

  6. I’m so glad you were able to fix it also Both my husband and I depend on our local computer shop, which fixes all the things we mess up. I have honestly tried to learn to fix things myself, but there always seems to be one more thing I don’t know. The computer shop is good to us–and I don’t blame them for being, as we are a steady resource for them!!

  7. I am so very thankful for the rain we had Saturday. It was not enough to break the drought we are in but it was enough to help a lot. My 6 rain barrels are full. It gave a good drink to the trees and plants in the area.
I am also thankful for a nephew in the car business. He is the manager of Chevy dealer. He was kind enough to give us a NEW car for his cost. We are thrilled. In all our married life (33 years) we have never had a new car. Today we go a 2015 for the cost of a good used car. We are beyond thrilled.
I am thankful too for the doctors who did surgery on my cousin. He has cancer and the doctor believes he was able to get all the cancer. So I am very thankful for that.

  8. Thank you for creating and maintaining this wonderful site. I am inspired, encouraged, and reminded of new ways to do things, simple things that can make a difference. I appreciate all that we have and appreciate the taking care of those things.

Today dear husband and I checked air in the tires of our cars, sounds so minor but on a vehicle with 203K and another at 187K everything that we can do to help them along is a blessing. Speaking of blessing, gas prices continue to fall and how wonderful that is.

Many blessings and many things that we no longer take for granted. My paycheck just took a 14% decrease, changed my position so they changed my pay. It could have been worse.

  9. I am thankful for the gingerbread pancake recipe you have shared with us. Although it required a little prep time….it was a hit! I mixed the dry the night before to make it quicker because children are always hungry immediately, husband too for that matter. I doubled it and froze half for a later date. Yum. Made Saturday a little more special:)
