Today, I am thankful for the abundant basil that is growing in my front yard. I cut three huge bunches today and hung them to dry. I still have enough left to cut and dry much more. Because it has grown better than ever before, I won’t have to buy dried basil for at least a year, and never again if I can get it to grow half as well as this year in future years.

  2. I am thankful that we will be spending some well deserved family time together for 10 days. I pray I will still have my sanity when we return. I am also thankful that my in-laws are willing to come to the house and care for our pets while we are away in exchange for a meal and some turkey pot pies! In all honesty, I’ll probably pick up something while we’re away to thank them when we get back.

  8. I am thankful for my four year old daughter. My oldest girl is 19 and all boys in between. What a blessing to get to have a little girl in my life all over again. I had forgotten all those little things girls do. At my age of 44 she will more than likely be the last child. What a gift.
