Today, I am grateful for the pleasure of a video phone call to friends in France. I am still amazed that this technology exists and that it doesn’t cost anything to call (so different from paying high prices per minute for a regular phone call!) plus I get to see everyone’s smiles and see how much their children…
Today as I filled up the pepper shakers for the table I realized what wealth such an amount of pepper would have constituted in the middle ages. I am grateful for food, for clothing, for a warm home, and for my family. What are you thankful for today?

It’s the last day of November, and therefore the last of my thankful posts for the month. I am still sick! (I ended up back in bed yesterday and did not post). Today, I am thankful for my daughter who, though she is also sick, was so helpful in helping me to care for her…

I am thankful for my husband who sat down to brainstorm how best to,prepare for the holidays. We have several of our kids and their families coming for several weeks and there is a lot of preparation to be done.
I am thankful that today is (supposed :)) to warm up a bit. I think my neighbor and I might get to finish planting our fall bulbs in her greenhouse! (I’m thankful we have such wonderful neighbors!)
I am thankful for a warm house with a cozy fireplace that keeps us warm on a cold night. First sign of winter arrived and it is brutally cold out there! Yuck!!!

I am thankful for my warm and comfortable home. Our weather is cold and wet, typical fall weather, but we are snug and warm.

I’m thankful that the snowplows didn’t plow at 2:30 AM, which is their usual MO. The snow held off til daylight hours.

I am thankful today for the rain holding off until the washing was almost dry and only having to put it in the clothes dryer for a short time.
I am thankful that are cars are paid for and we don’t have CC debt. We were not always so smart. It took us many years to dig out of debt. We will never go back. We are currently building up our emergency fund to make sure we succeed.
I am thankful for the fact that even though I was mandated to work overtime, it will provide me with the extra income to replace the brakes on my vehicle and not needing to resort to credit usage.
