Apple Branches The Prudent Homemaker

I am grateful to have spent time organizing this year. While I still have some places in the house left to finish organizing, most areas in the house have been reorganized this year, and having the house in order makes life so much nicer!

What are you thankful for today?

  1. I am so thankful for my home. It is comfortable, suits our family, and is close to shopping. We got our new windows, siding, and roof a year ago. That makes our home comfortable. We have 2 more years till the boys graduate and we will sell this house and get an RV. So I am getting it ready.

  2. I am thankful for the way the Internet enables us to connect with and learn from people we would never have met otherwise. As a British atheist doctor with no children, I really enjoy your blog and find it inspiring, even though my motivation is more environmental/ethical than about frugality or raising children. Thank you, I really appreciate your writing.

  3. I am grateful that my work schedule is quite flexible! I don’t get paid a lot (a LOT less than people think I do), but I have a flexible schedule and that is a perk that makes up for a lot of things.

Working on the cleaning out and organizing on our end here – definitely need to get it done soon!
    Thanks for the inspiration,
    Lea

  4. I am so thankful that my husband had a really good interview for a job that will be steady, pay enough for our family and would have health insurance. Just waiting and praying…

  5. I am thankful, even with all the kids and cooking distractions, that I was able to make some progress in the yard. My goal is to have a garden but I am beginning with clearing space to plant bulbs near the house.

  6. I’m thankful for hidden friends; those people you know, maybe not too much, but they surprise you with possibilities when you least expect it.

  7. I am grateful for such organizing as I have done. We have been in this house for 38 years and this is nearing the end of my second year of serious organizing and disposing of things. It’s still on going, but it will be a long time before I “finish.” So many things still to do. Arthritis is slowing me down some these days, but I’m still getting after it quite often!!

  8. I am grateful that the temperatures for the next few days will be in the 70s. I still have a few things to do before putting the yard to bed and it’ll be nice to do them without shivering!

  9. I am thankful that $200 that I was expecting in my bank account late in the day on November 16 is in my account tonight. I have had a couple of weeks with very little cash, but things should be a little easier now.

  10. I’m thankful for “foodie” blogs. I was recently trying to figure out what to do with some of the tomatoes we had dried last summer and was able to find a new-to-me recipe that called for dried tomatoes and other pantry/refrigerator staples. My son deemed it his “second favorite” pasta dish. Win!

  11. 11-13 … I am thankful for the beautiful stars and moon…We sat outside last night after church and had hot cider and rocked on the glider. It was cool and clear, not too cold yet.

11-14 … I am thankful for a warm and cozy house that is sufficient for our needs.
