We had really strong winds the last two days. I am thankful that none of my trees broke in the wind! I will have to restake several (and I already retied one), but all are okay.

I am thankful for the privilege of un-restricted travel. (I almost wrote “free” travel, but that isn’t quite right). So much to see, so much to learn, and so good to have a home to go back to.

Today I am grateful that, with meds, our pup is recovering well from a severe kidney/bladder infection.

I am thankful I went to Winco last week and leveraged my shopping so that I could get a free turkey. I will use on Thanksgiving to feed our family and guests.
I am thankful that we will have sun for Thanksgiving day and the weekend. When I do my morning devotion, I sit near an East-facing window. As I prepare the evening meal, I’m in my kitchen where the window faces West. Seeing the sun rise and set during these times of the day is so beautiful.
After five years of trying in the lottery, I received word today that I have tickets to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas performance in person! My girlfriend and I are going and will stay overnight in a hotel near Temple Square. I am so excited.
