I have lived in Las Vegas for 20 years, but it is only the last couple of years that I have learned to see the beauty of the Mojave desert as I have been photographing families and couples in the desert. I am thankful that I can see the beauty around me now, where at…

I’m thankful we were able to borrow an oven thermometer. My oven has suddenly been warming 65 degrees cooler than it should be. Knowing the problem, I can turn it up, check the thermometer, and bake for Thanksgiving. I’ll need to have it fixed, but there’s no need to go buy pies instead of baking…
I am thankful that this sweet baby boy of mine took a nap yesterday and gave me an opportunity to sew! What are you thankful for today?
It’s been a busy weekend! Here is my list of gratitude: one for each day. I’m thankful a kind friend, the chance to take photos of another photographer’s family, a day of rest, and today, for the opportunity to help my son improve his writing today. I am also immensely grateful for today, Armistice Day,…
Lovely photo! I am thankful that I was able to hear Artist/architect Maya Lin talk about her work, the environment, and our responsibility in stewardship. She is wise and inspiring!
I am thankful for the small town feel where I live. The town has greatly expanded over the decades and we now have many chain stores and restaurants in the area hut the downtown area has independent, small business owner stores and every month we have “Third Thursday” with different groups setting up booths and multiple food trucks serving up very tasty food. There is also a town wide food drive this month to help out senior citizens and school children.
I am thankful for my oldest son who was born on my birthday 37 years ago, today. He is a terrific son, husband, dad and soldier. He works hard for his family, has been terrific through their journey of losses of babies and is now a dad to 3 year old triplets! It has been a joy to see him now as a parent, doing such a tremendous job though some very trying years!
This really touched me! Thank you for sharing! The power of a father is unmeasurable.

I’m thankful for the friendly technician who gave me a mammogram today. Because breast cancer runs in my family I have them regularly. She was fun and chatty and quickly put me at ease.
Nov. 20–I am thankful for the pre-Thanksgiving sales that enabled me to stockpile so much good food at killer prices! I grew up in a home where money was super-tight and we never had extra food in the house. A full pantry and full freezer adds to my feeling of security.
I am thankful for a sunny day today, and the time to do some food prep for Thanksgiving.

I’m thankful my friend of 15 years is no longer suffering from the wretched brain cancer she was diagnosed with this year. I will miss her terribly though. She was such a wonderful friend and sister in Christ.
So, so sorry.
I am grateful that I had the time to try making ground beef Stroganoff, a new recipe for me. I enjoyed a hot meal, and have leftovers to heat up now for several days.
The wind is howling. So, today I’m thankful for electricity. We’ve lost it once this evening and it’s been flickering off and on for awhile. But, while it’s still on, I am very grateful!
Thankful that I have insurance that covered flu shots and shingles shots for me and my husband, all for free. (Plus got 4 coupons for 10% off future grocery store trips. Will be helpful for Christmas cooking supplies.
Today I realized just how blessed I am to be surrounded by laughter. We have not had much to laugh about for a few years, yet the laughter still flows. It just sometimes sneaks through and reminds me that all will be OK. I am thankful for the gift of laughter.
