What are you thankful for today?

What are you thankful for today?
It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and we were able to fill the trailer twice with the rocks that are our “soil” to take to the dump. I’m grateful for good weather and the help of my family. I’m also grateful for our church’s video today on gratitude! You can watch it here. What are…
Today, I’m thankful that my youngest felt well enough to play part of the day. My next youngest is still sick, so I’m also grateful that we were planning a quiet Thanksgiving at home with no guests this year. I will hopefully have a chance to get back to some sewing and present making in…
I am thankful today for the Armenian cucumbers that grew in our garden this year, which allowed me to make pickles. We had pickles with our lunch today.
I’m thankful for the chance to work on some Christmas gifts yesterday. What are you thankful for today?
Today, I am thankful for daylight savings time. While I don’t always love this invention, in the fall on the day of the change and a few days to follow, they are more willing to go to bed at bedtime, because it feels later to them! It always makes for a few quieter evenings and…
I am thankful that my husband could come home today for the Thanksgiving holiday. It has been months. The children have been playing games with him this afternoon. What are you thankful for today?

Lovely photo! I am thankful that I was able to hear Artist/architect Maya Lin talk about her work, the environment, and our responsibility in stewardship. She is wise and inspiring!
I am thankful for the small town feel where I live. The town has greatly expanded over the decades and we now have many chain stores and restaurants in the area hut the downtown area has independent, small business owner stores and every month we have “Third Thursday” with different groups setting up booths and multiple food trucks serving up very tasty food. There is also a town wide food drive this month to help out senior citizens and school children.
I am thankful for my oldest son who was born on my birthday 37 years ago, today. He is a terrific son, husband, dad and soldier. He works hard for his family, has been terrific through their journey of losses of babies and is now a dad to 3 year old triplets! It has been a joy to see him now as a parent, doing such a tremendous job though some very trying years!
This really touched me! Thank you for sharing! The power of a father is unmeasurable.
Happy Birthday to you both!
I am thankful for the wonderful smell of cinnamon rolls my husband made while I was raking leaves in the yard yesterday.
I am thankful for a good medical outcome.
I’m thankful that I finally embraced my natural hair color, greys and all! Saves time & money AND my hair is healthier than ever!
I am thankful to be visiting our college daughter on her 20th birthday
I am thankful for the Internet. It has made searching for a rental for much easier than driving all around town with children.
I am thankful for rain!
I’m thankful for the friendly technician who gave me a mammogram today. Because breast cancer runs in my family I have them regularly. She was fun and chatty and quickly put me at ease.
Nov. 20–I am thankful for the pre-Thanksgiving sales that enabled me to stockpile so much good food at killer prices! I grew up in a home where money was super-tight and we never had extra food in the house. A full pantry and full freezer adds to my feeling of security.
I am thankful for a sunny day today, and the time to do some food prep for Thanksgiving.
I am thankful that I found a great sale on avocados – They were $1.00 for a bag of five in the ugly produce section of our store. I also got 3 lemons for $1.00. Huge batches of guacamole for the freezer here I come.
I’m thankful my friend of 15 years is no longer suffering from the wretched brain cancer she was diagnosed with this year. I will miss her terribly though. She was such a wonderful friend and sister in Christ.
So, so sorry.
I am grateful that I had the time to try making ground beef Stroganoff, a new recipe for me. I enjoyed a hot meal, and have leftovers to heat up now for several days.
The wind is howling. So, today I’m thankful for electricity. We’ve lost it once this evening and it’s been flickering off and on for awhile. But, while it’s still on, I am very grateful!
Thankful that I have insurance that covered flu shots and shingles shots for me and my husband, all for free. (Plus got 4 coupons for 10% off future grocery store trips. Will be helpful for Christmas cooking supplies.
Today I realized just how blessed I am to be surrounded by laughter. We have not had much to laugh about for a few years, yet the laughter still flows. It just sometimes sneaks through and reminds me that all will be OK. I am thankful for the gift of laughter.
great photo!
I am thankful for the lovely memories of many happy Thanksgivings with my family. Not everyone will have a happy holiday gathering because of some family issues, but we, so far, have had good ones every year. What a blessing.
I am thankful to be part of a wonderful book club that inspires and creates a great community. It’s a special group of friends and I like that I can get the books from my library usually as an ebook.
I also am thankful for the rain we have been receiving here in Maryland. We were having a bit of a drought this past year, but now the ponds seem to be coming up to the right height.
