Today, I’m thankful for food to eat.
What are you thankful for today?
Today, I’m thankful for food to eat.
What are you thankful for today?
When I was a teenager, my parents used to watch the televsion show, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. I remember being so impressed by Wayne Brady, one of the actors on the show, and his ability to make up funny lyrics to songs on the spot. At one point I learned that he was married,…
On this Veteran’s Day, I am thankful for the peace that we enjoy due to those who have served to make it that way. Many in the world are running from war and looking for a place of safety and peace. May we who are in peaceful nations be grateful that we can remain…
Today, I am enjoying a breakfast of frittata made with Swiss chard from my garden, grape juice from my garden, and a mug of lemon verbena herbal tea from my garden. I was reading a book this morning; a true story that takes place in Germany prior to and duing the second World War. I…
I’m thankful for kind neighbors. What are you thankful for today?
Today, I am thankful to finally have a great pair of earbuds. I’ve been able to listen to music while staying up late to make pies for Thanksgiving without waking anyone! What are you thankful for today?
Today, I am thankful for a warm bed to sleep in. What are you thankful for today?
I am thankful for “Dan the computer man”, who fixed some things on my computer and my mom’s computer yesterday at a very reasonable cost. He has also taken our old computer tower that doesn’t work at all, and is going to try and retrieve the pictures off of the hard drive. I am so grateful that I know someone with this expertise that is willing come when I need help and charge me a very reasonable rate for his service!
I am thankful for food to eat and the ability to cook, bake and prepare food. I am also thankful I know how to preserve food. the weather was horrible last night and I was so glad I didn’t have to go out to grab dinner or snacks. Everything I needed was here at home.
I am also so thankful for your blog. I really enjoy checking it each day and reading interesting things.
I am thankful I got to go on a nice outing with my 81 year old mom on a beautiful fall day. My father passed away a year and a half ago , so I don’t take this time with my mother for granted.
Today I am so thankful for the amazing individual who works with my disabled family member.
Yes, we are blessed to have food. When so many are hungry, having food is a gift! I am grateful to you drawing attention to the things that we can take for granted.
I, too, am thankful for food to eat. The green tomatoes we gathered before the frost a few weeks ago continue to ripen everyday and we enjoy them so much. I am so thankful that we can easily grow such a versatile and nutrient rich vegetable.
Today I am thankful that I get to work from home at my job and do not have to face commuter traffic either going to or coming home from work. Actually, I am thankful for that everyday because it saves me a minimum of 1 hour per day and sometimes closer to 2, depending on traffic, to say nothing of the stress I no longer feel.
Today I am grateful for supportive family and colleagues.
I am thankful for sick days so I can recover from my dental procedure at home without penalty. I had a position without insurance and we had to buy insurance that was just awful. Unfortunately, I ended up working when ill as or was the only way to be paid.
I am thankful for rain today and the snow that is falling in the mountains.
Last night as I lay in bed, listening to the howling winds hitting the house, I was thankful to have a house & a warm bed in which to sleep.
I am grateful that I have a warm home. Our weather is cold and icky today and I’m inside with central heating, cozy clothes, and hot tea.

This may sound trivial compared to all of the other heart-felt gratitude statements….but today, I am grateful to be able to watch my son play in the state high school championship game. He is the quarterback and has been under a lot of pressure this season. He has handled it with class and stepped up as a leader. I am grateful he has remained healthy for the season and grateful for family friends who have supported him throughout his football career.
You inspired me to eat oatmeal with brown sugar for breakfast.
Today I am grateful for my husband, who is so patient and calm.
I’m thankful for my wonderful son who is serving overseas in the military. Nov 16th was his 23 birthday. He has been in the Navy since he was 19. I thank God for him everyday.
Today, i’m thankful for thrift stores. I walked right into an older, small white Christmas tree that fits our house perfectly. Plus, it was 2.50, cheaper than a pound of butter!
I am thankful for a warm house and food and, snow. Yes, I love snow! It is snowing right now. Big fluffy flakes are coming down and it is such a tranquil, beautiful scene.
I am glad I found some beautiful cookbooks on sale –– they were $45 but on sale for $7. A great gift for my nephew’s wife.
Today has been rather cold. We have a church get together tonight and are expected to bring a dish to share. Since it is cold and our finances are a bit low, I decided to look through recipe books I had in order to make something with the items I had on hand, rather than heading to the store. So today, like you, I am thankful that I have a pantry full of items with which to nourish my family and friends.
Estoy agradecida por la inspiración maravillosa que ofrece Brandy en su maravillosa web. Hoy estoy agradecida especialmente por poder cumplir mis objetivos en la casa, a pesar de tener una contractura importante.
I had oatmeal & brown sugar for breakfast, too! With a few blueberries & walnuts thrown in. Yum!
Today I am thankful that we had a warmer day so I could open the windows and air out the whole house. The temp is supposed to drop 30 degrees by tomorrow and we’ll be back in the 40’s.
I am thankful today for full pantries, freezers and fridges and food to eat each day in our home.
Also I am thankful that I can pray for the homeless children and adults throughout the world having previously nursed some who were brought in from the streets who were gravely ill.
Goodmorning Brandy,
Today I am thankful for the rain, nothing renews the garden like rain from the sky. It will also top up our rainwater tanks.
Have a lovely day.

I am thankful for all the gifts in life I have, and the thought to appreciate them.
This may seem silly to some but I’m thankful for my little dog. He came into my life when I needed him and has brought our whole family joy.
That’s not trivial at all! I hope they won.
Funny…I had oatmeal & brown sugar with dried cherries and almonds for breakfast. It was delicious1
I am thankful for my best friend who came to visit me this week. She lives overseas and I hadn’t seen her in seven years. She is leaving tomorrow, and I am just so grateful to be able to spend some time with her. My husband is away this week on a business trip as well (the timing was total coincidence), so I am also glad to have had company in his absence.
I am thankful that I was able to stay home today with my sick daughter. She is 17, but still wanted me to stay home with her:) I’m so glad I didn’t have any work, or appointments until 3 pm, and I was also thankful she is old enough to stay home while I took another daughter to her appointment at 3. I was thankful that I was NOT the sick one, and did several hours of cleaning and tidying that needed to be done:)
I am thankful for my wrist—I broke it two months ago and never appreciated the little bones in my wrist that made everything possible.
I am thankful for health…for a warm home..for family and provisions. ❤
I made Brandys Tuscan bread soup for the 2nd time
In less than 20 mins. I was thankful for a simple recipe
To warm my family.
I made my first..chocolate mold candy (Brandy idea)
My mold was .25 and it was a fun pretty treat.
Question: do i put in fridge after i fill mold.? How long?
And do you keep them in a airtight bowl to store?
Thank you.
I am thankful that God answers prayers.
Wow I didn’t realize it was that warm in Kansas! That’s amazing. In Iowa, we are in the 30’s and 40s. Its very windy.
I’m thankful for my husband’s bonus check. He is amazing and splits everything 50/50 with me. I’m applying the $400 extra to the mortgage which will get us 1 month closer to paying it off when you figure in the interest it saves over the next 7 years. I’m amazed at how kind my hubby is.
Estoy agradecida tambien por la inspiracion.
Me gusta leer su commentarios en espanol.
OK so my Spanish is bad, but I love that you posted in Spanish.
I am thankful for the young man that owns the local fabrication shop fixed our trailer (both axles broke) and charged us very little. I am thankful that we are not out in this weather of severe thunderstorms and flash floods. I am thankful that my children have on their own developed a back up plan if we can’t get to our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow (19th) due to the flooding and we have the turkeys, mashed potatoes, noodles and beverages. I am thankful Hubby decided to put the insulation boards up around the foundation instead of waiting until the weekend after Thanksgiving as we have 50 mph winds and it’s getting down to 29° tonight.
I am thankful for you Brandy and yours and each and everyone that post here as I feel I have a support system that does not exist in this area.
I am very thankful for my wonderful boss (the owner) and my manager who have been so accommodating of my scheduling needs due to all of hubby’s health issues over the last year. Not many people would have worked with me so I could keep my job.
Not trivial at all Kristy, my son plays RB and constantly supports his QB with a maturity that amazes me – we are in the UK and American Football is a real grassroots sport here! I’m grateful my son can play this fabulous game – I’m even beginning to understand the rules! Go Football moms!
It is very nice to see that I learned something studying Spanish in high school. I am still able to read and understand the sentence in Spanish MANY, MANY years later.
I have been praying for the end of the constant cold rain and for big beautiful snowflakes. I do not handle cold well but I love the beauty of the season!
That is not silly AT ALL! There are many days that my dogs and cats are the only reason I have gotten out of bed. They enrich our lives so much and ask so little of us – just love and full bellies.
