I’ve gone to bed exhausted the last several days, as we’ve been shoveling the rocks that are our native garden “soil” and loading them onto a trailer to take to the dump. So, today’s post is for both yesterday and today. While my husband was getting rid of the rocks, I took a few minutes…

I’m thankful that even though my youngest decided that 3:40 a.m. was the perfect time to be up for the day, I was able to take a nap at the same time he did later in the day. What are you thankful for today?
I’m thankful my little brother is safe from the fires that are so near where he lives right now. What are you thankful for today?
The pink roses are so lovely! I hope they have a good scent.
I am thankful for family. I could use up many screens if I typed out all the reasons why!
I am thankful for clothing and shoes for every type of weather, particularly waterproofs for the heavy rain we have had today.
I am thankful that I could bring home leftover food after helping with a funeral luncheon. I am grateful my friends are willing to give me remnants of yarn from their knitting projects so I can make a striped shawl. I am grateful for my neighbor who trained as a pastry chef and taught some of us how to make a better pie crust.
I’m thankful for the library for all it offers, but especially the audiobooks. I have dry eyes and sometimes need to rest them with warm compresses. With an audiobook, I look forward to to this time.
I am thankful for receiving many leftovers from the Thanksgiving meal given by the Confirmation class at church. My husband is the Pastor and we were given enough for several meals. I’ll freeze some, use the real mashed potatoes to make lefse and eat some for lunch the next few days

I am thankful for my ancestors, who left a legacy of strong family ties, strength of character, faith in God, strong work ethic and a great sense of humor!

I am thankful for taking cuttings of impatients and coleus to root for next spring. I am thankful for very inexpensive sweet potatoes to last for a while, and for grocery shopping with my daughter and two grandkids which is much more fun than by myself!
I’m thankful for an improving shoulder after many long hours of physical therapy, for a wonderful husband, and for the sun we’ve had the last few day (rainy climate, here). I’m glad you got rain, though!
