I am thankful for a few more days of Autumn and Thanksgiving decorations throughout my home before they are replaced by Christmas decor. I have had two months to enjoy them, as they remind me of harvest, the welcome change of cooler weather after 62 days of triple digit heat, and daily thankfulness of family and God’s ongoing provision. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

I am thankful that I dried mullein this summer from my garden! I have some sort of bug, with just a nasty cough. I did a steam tent with my dried mullein and water, it didn’t cost a dime! Have a blessed Thanksgiving, Brandy, with your family! You bring joy and wisdom and beauty to homes across the globe!

I am thankful for the delivery our our new sofa, removal of two chairs, and treat of biscuits from our son.
Strange as it may be … I’m thankful for my washer and dryer. When I was first married and we were stationed in Germany, I had a wringer washing machine, which I used in the bathroom with the bathtub for managing the water. I had a small portable spinner and then hung clothes to dry in the attic or on radiators or a portable clothes rack. Later, in graduate school, as a single mom, I had no dryer. A friend would often invite me over and let me bring towels to dry in her dryer. Otherwise, I dried everything on racks or chair backs. Later, there were times that necessitated going to the laundromat. I’ve always been able to have clean clothes, but the ease of using a washing machine and dryer during the cold and rainy months is definitely a plus!
Nothing strange about this! I’m truly thankful, every single day, for my washer and dryer!
I am thankful to have been able to take a quick hike today before starting Thanksgiving meal preparations.
I am thankful for the opportunity to spend Christmas with my grandmother. We have been doing some final planning today, and I feel greatly blessed to be able to bring her three great-grandchildren to her for Christmas. Our eldest is 4.5yo and she is 95yo, so there are 90 years between them!
I an so very thankful for these two pups who keep me company.
I am thankful for a hybrid car. I can go up to 25 miles on an electric charge. Most of the errands that I need to run fit within that radius. I drive minimally as it is, but I am thankful that when I do drive, I do it more sustainably.
