Today I am thankful for the ability to shop online. Rather than driving all over looking for specific watch batteries, I could find just what I needed. This is especially important as I still can’t drive right now (I still cannot sit). It also saved me time and gas. Today is the day I had…

Today I found out a fraudulent charge of $497 on my account. I’m glad I checked my account online today! Just a reminder that this time of year, it’s wise to check your account often. The last time this happened to me, the bank told me that the charges came because someone at a store…

I was worried that it would be hard for my children to play in the backyard, now that it’s all dug up and they can no longer use the swings or the merry-go-round while we relandscape the garden. I shouldn’t have been worried. My four-year-old son said to me today, “I’m so glad that dad…
I’m thankful that as we drove home tonight from visiting a daughter and grandchildren we saw such a gorgeous harvest moon. It wasn’t full, but it was huge and the color was beyond belief!
I’m thankful to have a reliable vehicle. I’ve had times of vehicles with ongoing problems and times when I’ve had no vehicle at all. Right now I have a good car that should last for many more years. It’s a real blessing.

I am thankful for my girlfriends! Year ago many of us joined a Honda gold wing motorcycle group in Phoenix, and we are still in contact, 20+ years later. Many are old enough they and their husbands no longer ride motorcycles, yet the friendships remain. We had a chili potluck yesterday, 20 of us were there, and it is so lovely to have long time friendships.
I am thankful for the miracle of the restoration of my daughter’s health.
I am thankful that the teenage son of my new neighbours across the street saw me shovelling snow, and came over to take over the job for me. His father saw what his son was doing, and came over to take over the job. The teenage daughter saw that there were two men working but only one shovel, so she brought over another shovel. The whole job was done in a few minutes, and then we introduced ourselves to each other.
So Awesome!
I enjoyed seeing a beautiful sunny morning with birds, squirrels, and a chipmunk out after the rain. Later, we enjoyed a late lunch and visit with some out of town relatives.

I am thankful for time on Saturday afternoon to prepare my garden for rest for the winter. I tilled my plot, mixed in some fertilizer and covered the beds with leaves. I am thankful for the fresh food it supplied me with this year.
I am so grateful that my daughter and dear son-in-law have been able to buy a house after 8+ years in an apartment.
This house was a needle in a haystack! They went to see it hours after it came up on a Friday, and it already had an offer. The house needs freshening up but is well-built, perfect for a young couple. The seller had priced it realistically with that in mind. They put in their best offer Friday evening, trying not to get their hopes up — and lo and behold, the seller accepted it on Saturday morning! She was kind and businesslike with these first-time-homeowners throughout the transaction, for which I am also grateful. The inspection showed no surprises, and they have moved in.
I’m delighted for them, and praying that they live long and happily in their new home.
I am thankful that my snow shoveller picked up some ice melt for me. The snow is melting off of my roof onto the front porch where it is freezing. Without the ice melt, I’d be trapped. I am thankful for chinooks and hope we get a powerful one to melt all the snow so we can start over again, I can rescue the garden hose trapped under the snow, get the leaves out of the gutters, finish what I didn’t finish.
looks like I might get my wish next weekend. Fingers crossed.

Thankful for leftovers for dinner as we spent the whole day juggling medical appointments and thankful the meds we need aren’t of the many shelves that are empty up here in Canada. Today I am thankful for wood! Isn’t it just the most marvellous material? I mean, what can’t you do with it! I am carving a nativity set for our family and it’s just so magical to think this GREW and can be turned into some many things and it’s shaping itself underneath my very hands. I love wood and choose it as a material for things I buy just as often as I can.
I’m thankful that some time ago, probably 2 or more years, you encouraged your readers to refinance their mortgage while rates were low. I did that and it will saved us a significant amount of money. I’ve never commented here, always meant to thank you but never did. Today I’m grateful for your advice, please know you make such a difference !
Oh, I’m so glad! Rates are high now but now you have a lower interest rate! Wonderful!
We refinanced just about a year ago now, and I am so glad we did!
