My husband and I walked outside right before leaving to a photography session to check to see if we were dressed warmly enough. While we stood outside, it started to snow! It snowed for about 30 seconds, tiny balls of snow that at first looked like hail. It then turned to slush and rain. I…

I’m thankful for the chance to speak with my son at college. I remember the expensive long-distance bills and the way we had to arrange to speak at a certain time when I was in college, dividing up the long-distance bill with roommates. While cell phones certainly cost more per month, I appreciate that with…

I’m thankful for my son today. It is such a blessing to witness holidays and traditions through the eyes of a child. Even the simplest of things are cherished. Extra snuggle time, play time and time in the kitchen with Mama preparing our holiday meal and goodies to go along have thrilled him and I am truly blessed to witness it. Love my little family so much!!

I am thankful for my pastor and his wife, who are going to visit family in the same town as my sister lives. They are taking my Christmas presents to their in-laws house where my sister will pick it up, saving me a lot on postage and it has gifts to unwrap with things to do before Christmas. It all got arranged today and I will take it to them bright and early tomorrow. My sister has really been struggling and I thought early gifts would bring some joy. They were happy to do it!
I am thankful that my husband’s stress test today showed no immediate concerns. After two previous heart attacks, that was music to my ears!
I’m thankful for decent (in Nov.) weather. I really don’t want mountains of snow just yet. I feel the need to stay in denial just a bit longer, please and thank you!
