1. A few weeks!?!?!?! Way to go keeping it a secret!! (We just saw our little bean #3 last week on ultrasound at 7 weeks. Such a miracle. We’re going to wait to see if it’s a brother or sister for our boys!)

2. Oh Brandy!!Congratulations and that makes the injury you suffered that much more difficult doesn’t it? Oh my! Prayers said for that to heal and you to have a safe delivery.

3. Congratulations!! I can’t believe you kept it a secret for so long…I kept thinking maybe I missed something! I am so happy for you and your family and can’t wait to hear when the blessing arrives!

4. This makes the fall you suffered so much scarier.
God bless and keep you.
There is no better blessing than another child.
Let us know when you have that little sweetie.

5. How exciting! Congratulations to you and your family! Best wishes for an uneventful birth and a healthy baby!

6. Oh, all the best to you! May you and your new little one be happy and healthy, all joy to all your family!

7. Congratulations! I had my second boy six weeks ago; newborns are so precious. I’m wondering if you fell and hurt your tailbone while pregnant (I seem to remember you had a fall recently)…I did that in both my pregnancies (clumsy!), and it sure makes all that sitting down to nurse a bit more painful. All the best to your family; wonderful news!

8. Yes, I was pregnant when I fell at the end of October. It’s certainly made for a much more difficult pregnancy (and being older this time has slowed me down, too!) I’m sure it will make nursing harder, but I will work through it 🙂

Congratulations on your new baby!

9. I had a feeling that’s what wonderful news you’d be announcing! Blessings! Congratulations!

10. Congratulations!! And due in a few weeks- how on earth did you manage to keep that a secret for so long?!

You are seriously an inspiration! I am 22 weeks pregnant with my 5th child and I can barely get anything done right now. How do you function so well?!

11. Lol! My daughter had her name the day I found out she was a girl, around 4.5 months along. I used it so often that around 7.5 months into my pregnancy, a co-worker told me that I absolutely could not change my mind because she would always be Emma to him no matter what I named her.

Congratulations on the anticipated arrival. I am impressed that you have kept this from us for so long. I am also impressed that you can wait so patiently for 42-44 weeks. I didn’t make it to 37 and was still pretty impatient.

12. Mari,

I had a miscarriage close to this time last year. I had just told family a few days before it happened. Because of that, I chose to wait this time to announce 🙂

All of my babies are born late, so I’m pretty used to it!

13. Oh, CONGRATULATIONS, to you and your family, Brandy!

What an exciting time!

Thanks for sharing your news with us – we’ll wait excitedly to hear when your new little one arrives,
Lea

14. Congratulations!!! Can hardly wait to see your family’s newest addition! How exciting! Can we send the baby a gift? Do you need anything?

God Bless y’all ♡

15. I am so sorry about the miscarriage. It doesn’t matter how many babies you have; such a loss still hurts. I think you even hinted to us about that in a post where you said your family had suffered a loss or words to that effect. I pray that this baby is healthy and happy.

16. Congratulations!
What wonderful news 🙂 I am so happy for you and your family. A precious little one.

Blessings to you and your family

18. Hi Brandy and congratulations number one, wow so great how you kept the secret for so long.

Yes I too had one of my children come 2 weeks later than the arrival date as well, second child due to an incident came 2 weeks early. I remember with my first child going for copious amounts of walks, shopping, fishing and anything I thought would bring on the arrival earlier to absolutely no avail. The little ones have their own timetable and that is when they are born.

I remember going shopping in Brisbane and there was a blackout and I was on the top floor of the shopping centre, the only way down was to walk down three flights of elevators that were not working. I was so large by that stage I couldn’t see my feet at all, I told them to be on the safe side I would wait and sit till the power came back on. They looked at me being as large as what I was saying “when are you due”, my reply was “a week ago”. They bought out the most comfortable chair and said “that is fine just stay right where you are” with no doubt visions of a heavily pregnant woman giving birth in a black out on the top floor of a shopping centre. I reassured them I was absolutely fine :p.

19. Many congratulations to you and your family. Wishing you a safe delivery. I have been reading your blog for a long time but this is my first time to comment. Spring is such a joyful time, especially with a new addition.

20. So exciting for you all! Good thing you added that rattle at the end, I would have just thought you were referring to the ‘baby’ flowers and such. 🙂 I am so impressed that you waited so long! WOw! A few weeks?!?! It seems to me (not you, of course!) that this was the shortest pregnancy ever! ha!

21. Congratulations!!! I loved the way you’ve chosen to tell us about it 🙂 Many blessings to you all!

22. What a wonderful surprise! Thank God we don’t have to wait forever, like with Ivory, to get this blessing born!! LOL
I’m sure the boys are praying for another boy, they ARE outnumbered. Safe and short delivery and a healthy mom and baby are my prayers. Blessing to you and the family. Can’t wait to hear the name.

23. Congratulations. How exciting to hear the news! You are great at keeping quiet ;). I am amazed at how busy you have been, now looking back at your accomplishments.

24. Congratulations! Boy, this will teach me to get so busy I don’t read any blogs for a few days—I miss the exciting news:) I’m glad I had time to catch up this morning. I’m very happy for you. What a blessing.

25. Congratulations, Brandy! Can’t say you didn’t drop a few hints along the way, but you did a great job covering them with other reasoning. Your children must be so excited to meet their newest sibling!!! We all are too.:D

26. Wow! Congrats!!!! Amazing all the energy you’ve had to complete all your gardening & spring cleaning Etc! You’re an amazing lady!

27. Dear Brandy,

Congratulations! Hope everything goes well and easy for you. I still admire you for being able to do so much with such a full plate. I just got through reading your post on Encouragement. You are a good example for all of us to follow. You seem to manage your time better than any one I know.

29. Oh Brandy I am so happy for you and the family. Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth and easy delivery. I had often wondered if your family would grow, your children are beautiful and are blessed with fine parents. Can not wait to learn the name. What a wonderful ‘birthday’ gift to have in your 40th year. Both my sister’s had babies at 42. I was so green with envy. I wanted more than the 2 I had but the Lord had other plans for me. Now I just love other people’s babies and get a pay check in to boot. May God bless

35. Oh my goodness, how exciting! I was scrolling and excited that I knew some of the fruits… and then the baby rattle was such a nice surprise. Congratulations to you all, and hope your labor and delivery are speedy and as pleasant as can be considering it’s giving birth and all.

You continue to amaze me!

36. Well, you’re certainly saying farewell to your 30s with a bang! :p Congratulations! If anyone can make it look easy it’s you. I truly admire your patience, commitment, and creativity. I am also turning 40 this year, so I wish this milestone birthday is even sweeter for you with a new baby. And my sincere condolences on the loss of your child last year.

39. It seems like it was only yesterday that we were all looking at Baby Ivory, and now she will be a big sister!! Congratulations, Brandy, to you and your entire family.

40. Hi Brandy and like I am blessed with help, love & support from my husband, you are also immensely blessed by all the help, love and support from all of your family too 🙂 . Such a wonderful thing to have in both of our lives.

41. Hi Brandy and do agree that every birth is different indeed. I was fortunate enough to have what my friends called “McDonalds’s take away births”. Drive in to get hamburger, came out other side 2 hours later with baby burger no 1 child, 2nd child drove in and 19 minutes later first pain to birth came out with baby burger no 2 child.

My specialist when I was having my second child got called out to me whilst at tea with his family after he heard it was me said to them ” I will be back for dessert” and he indeed was. He leant down to get a surgical instrument, and I said very loudly “catch”, as my poor little one was flying off the end of the surgical table, he did indeed catch him. He said “I love working with you as you have stomach muscles like a wharfie and are so incredibly fit”. He washed him, put him in a space blanket as he was in shock and placed him on my chest and said “the poor little thing needs a feed”, paused briefly while he fed, and said he is fine I shall see you tomorrow.

I hope your birth goes as smoothly as both of mine, without the baby sliding off the end of the surgical table though :p.

42. Congratulations! And must I say, slowed you town, girl the way you blogged and mentioned what you did each week, omg, would of never ever guessed you were blessed with pregnancy……good luck………and blessings to you….

43. Brandy, what a wonderful present for the month of your birth, or May, depending on how long he or she makes you wait. I pray you have an easy delivery and best health for both of you.

44. Best wishes for you, your new little one and family! If you lived close I’d bake a sheet cake and a ham and a ‘set salad’ :). Tried and true family response to a new addition!

45. Such wonderful news for you and your family and for all of us readers who are part of your cyber family!

46. Aww! Congrats! Can’t think of any better way for God to bless someone who is continuously blessing others! You are great parents & I am so excited for you!

We have bsby #3 due mid July

47. Congratulations!! How wonderful another head to sniff(am I the only one who does this to my kids)?

48. Congratulations! I miscarried 3 times between my 2 wonderful children. It is a blessings to know that we will meet them in heaven because they are waiting for us. I also believe that they are watching over us here on earth.

49. All my babies were late too….it is hard to wait. Congratulations on your new addition! I think it is fun finding out whether its a girl or boy when they are born. My daughter waited and people were so angry at her. Guess they wanted to know….we like the surprise.

50. Congrats!! I was wondering when the next bundle of joy was arriving. I love all your children’s names so I’m looking forward to hearing about the new baby. May you have a smooth and safe delivery (and lots of rest after!)

51. Oh Brandy, Congratulations! How wonderful! I had my children when I was 39 and 42. You do get tired more easily with age, but you also have more patience (and wisdom). It will be great! So happy for you all.

52. Best wishes with your newest family member. I’ll wish you deliveries like mine—two babies–12 hour labor the first time, 65 minutes the second time from the time I woke up that morning until I delivered her—and easy deliveries, as if you didn’t guess that. Only problem was I didn’t intend to have the second one at home, but that is where I had her. I was not prepared but we made do! Hoping the baby is healthy above all, and that you remain so, too. Rest while you can–IF you can!

53. How exciting!

I’m so happy for you and your family. I can’t wait to hear the name as yours are beautiful, poetic names.

Best wishes for a safe and uneventful delivery

54. Congratulations! What a fun way to announce your little one’s arrival! Our family is very excited for yours. Children are indeed a blessing!

55. Congratulations Brandy from the UK!
I’m glad that you chose not to know the baby’s gender, it will be a sweet surprise for you all when he/she arrives.
I never wanted to know what I was having, neither did my sisters.
My Mum used to say that knowing was like opening all your Christmas presents before Christmas Day, then having nothing to look forward to on the day.
Hope all g’s well for you.

56. Congratulations! I only have about 5 weeks to go as well with baby no 3. We have had a seven year break for lots of reasons but always knew we weren’t finished! Hope you have a smooth run to the end. Looking forward to hearing your news.
Best wishes,

59. Congratulations!! All of my 8 babies have been well past their ‘due date’. My current baby was 42 weeks!

60. I read your blog faithfully (and have for years) and with all you get done, I’m thinking, “This is Brandy, tired???” 😉 I’m so thrilled for you! Can’t wait to hear that baby has been born! Take good care of yourself. Are you doing a home birth? I am a labor and delivery nurse and can’t imagine a doctor or hospital allowing a 42-44 week pregnancy. Blessings for a safe delivery!
