I am thankful for a lovely cloudy day to celebrate thanksgiving with my husband, with rain later today. Turkey breast and all the trimmings are ready to cook this afternoon, and we have two slices of pumpkin pie left 🙂
I am thankful for friends and family. I am also thankful that my daughter and her boyfriend are spending the day with a friend and her family since the are across the country. I am 20 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and she is as bout 46-60 miles from the Pacific.
Side note: Based on the radar I checked yesterday, Brandy, it looks like you hot a decent amount of rain.
We were expecting a lot, but it was very little rain and not very measurable. Less than 1/4 inch I bet. Downtown probably got more. We’re expecting rain soon, though! A half-inch is predicted, which is huge for here. What’s the most important is how much ends up in Lake Mead, and I hope that’s a lot!
Nov. 27–I am thankful for the emergency room and caring doctors (although the nurse was a real Grinch). My daughter, who is disabled, has major issues with constipation. We know how to deal with it, but nothing worked this time. We were concerned that she might have a partial blockage, and the Xray was inconclusive. We went with our gut feeling that it WASN’T a blockage, and with the ER’s help, things got moving again. I know this is TMI, but I am thrilled they could help her.
So grateful she is doing better!
I’m thankful we made the right choice to stay home and off the roads. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see everyone between Christmas and the New Year.
I’m thankful for another wig to try out today. It only cost 20.00 and looks very wig like, but is more attractive than the other one. Of course I’m thankful for my recovery but continue to battle surgery scars on my neck, blotchy brown spots from sun sensitive medications, fuzzy chemo brain, tingly fingers, muscle loss, and fatigue. The emotional toll is very great and I win the battle a little at a time, day by day. Faith and believing. Blessed.

I thankful for a simply beautiful Thanksgiving day here in NC. It was sunny and about 50, and my husband and I cooked, did yard work and walked 6 miles. We are doing our Thanksgiving on Saturday, so we really enjoyed the gorgeous weather.
I’m happy to see family today.

Thankful that my leg that has been hurting for a year and a half, is beginning to slowing get better. It has been debilitating. Finally have found a doctor that seems to know what he is doing and the treatment plan has provided some relief.
Yesterday – I’m thankful I was able to get some beautiful flowers for our Thanksgiving table. I took two small vases to the florist at our local grocery store, and asked her to make me bouquets (I told her my budget). I was so impressed by what she made for a reasonable price. I am enjoying the flowers so much!
Today – I am thankful I get to see and/or talk to all my family members today on Thanksgiving. My husband and I are having our dinner at home because he’s on call and has to stay close to his computer. My mom and I drove up to visit my local sister and her family earlier this afternoon. And I talked to my dad and my other sister on the phone as well. It is a good day.
I am thankful to have my college son home with us for the holiday. I’ve missed him!
I’m thankful for those we could gather with, and thankful that those we love far away are safe. I am thankful for a beautiful walk at the lake today. I am thankful for my young adult daughter who steps in so capably when I am feeling shaky.
Thankful I was able to refer a news client to a friend who could use the work, and who has the specialized knowledge the client’s case needs.
