Today, I am thankful that I was able to learn how to fix something that I have long had to hire out. I am glad that I can now take care of this repair myself!

What are you thankful for today?
Today I am thankful for a warm home. It is cold and extremely windy today (winds at 28mph) but inside it is calm and warm, even without the heater running yet. What are you thankful for today?
My husband and I walked outside right before leaving to a photography session to check to see if we were dressed warmly enough. While we stood outside, it started to snow! It snowed for about 30 seconds, tiny balls of snow that at first looked like hail. It then turned to slush and rain. I…
November 10th: I’m thankful that my children wanted to set up the Christmas tree early! This is earlier than we had planned; we were going to do it in a couple of weeks. While my husband and I were working outside in the garden, they took down the tree and set it up, fluffed it…
I’m so thankful today that I found an Oroblanco grapefruit tree for the garden! It is a five-gallon pot and the straightest one I found was twice as tall as the others in the same size pot (it was easily a year older in growth). It was $29.95, which is what I was hoping to…
I’m grateful our friends were able to pick us up because our van had stopped working. We had planned a visit with them and it was great to get to see them for a short visit while they were in town. I’m also thankful that our van started again and we were able to drive…
Remember this chair? Yesterday morning, my husband and I were discussing the current real estate market. This year has been a good one for us, and for the real estate market here. The market is now starting to slow down. There is always a seasonal slowdown during the winter, of course, but with 9000 houses…
I’m thankful for my (adult) children. They’re the best thing i’ve ever done!
I’m thankful that when I made a huge boo boo yesterday. Almost missed an event because I thought it started much later. My husband just rolled with it. He knew I was beating myself up about misreading the time. He just put it behind and made it work to the best of his ability to get us there as quickly and as safely as possible.
I am thankful for a beautiful first snowfall. It started in the early morning hours today and there have been off and on snow showers for several hours now. Everything is snow covered and fresh, a delight for the eyes.
What did you learn to repair? I always feel so resourceful when I can manage to fix something myself.
I thankful to have a cool and windy morning to work outside while working through an old hurt that bubbled up. Yup! I dealt with it for good today, and accomplished quite a bit of yard work to boot.
On the 4th, I was thankful to spend time with my oldest daughter & two of her children.
I’m thankful that I will be able to spend time with my mom today. I’ve been ill and not able to get out of the house except for work for several weeks. My mum is driving over to see me and will help me run a few errands. Just spending time with her makes me feel better. So thankful for her!
I am thankful my daughter was able to reconnect with a friend, who came over this weekend to hang out. I think it really made my daughter happy, which seems to be very rare these days! Such a blessing for all of us.
I am thankful for the beautiful fall weather this weekend in Alabama
I am thankful that the birds are feeding at the bird feeder. I am thankful that I got a beautiful photo of a nuthatch yesterday. It is so cheery to watch the chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers as they visit the feeder. Today, I stomped the snow off of my boots and memories came flooding back. That sound must remind me of parents. It is such a heartwarming sound of someone coming in from the cold. I am thankful for such a simple sound.
I am so thankful to be spending a few days hiking and exploring all around the beautiful Eastern Sierras with my husband for our 15th wedding anniversary. My parents are keeping our daughter so we can have some time alone together. I am beyond grateful.
