Today, I am thankful that my husband was able to go to two grocery stores for me. He was able to buy 10 lbs of chicken leg quarters for $2.90 (an unheard of price in this area!), 12 pounds of clementines for $12, 10 cans of evaporated milk for $10 ($1 a can), 60 pounds…
On this Veteran’s Day, I am thankful for the peace that we enjoy due to those who have served to make it that way. Many in the world are running from war and looking for a place of safety and peace. May we who are in peaceful nations be grateful that we can remain…
I’m thankful for my husband going to the grocery store for me yesterday. while I stayed at home and painted. He called while there to ask me what else we might need from the store as they had a deal where if you spend $100, you get a free turkey. He bought several items that…

Each November, I post a series of gratitude. I share one thing I am thankful for that day and invite readers to do the same. Today, I am thankful for the freedom to choose how to educate my children. Up until 2 1/2 months ago, I had always homeschooled my children. On the first day…
I am thankful for a little boy who was listening at church, even when I thought he wasn’t. I know he was listening, because the speaker said he was grateful for the prayers that had been made on his behalf. My young son whispered to me, “What’s a bee half?” What are you thankful for…
Today I am thankful for doing this all month. It has made me realize all the little things in life that make it wonderful.
I’m with you Brandy – hugs are the best! Even my 6ft 1in tall 14 year old son still gives amazing bear hugs – just like he did as a toddler? They’re a favorite part of my day.

I am thankful for the opportunity to see an old friend today. I don’t see her very often, but she recently moved back to my area, so hopefully our visits will be more frequent. I have known her since I was 4 years old, and we have seen each other through many life changes.
I am thankful for “normal.” Now that my husband is back at work after his very serious heart attack we are able to return to a normal routine. I’m also thankful that my husband is now willing to eat more healthy and take walks with me on a daily basis.
I am thankful that my mother taught me how to cook and that my children learned to cook so I know that they can fix a meal for themselves.
Brandy, thank you for taking the time and energy to post about gratitude multiple times during the month of November. Your posts helped remind me of how truly blessed I am.
