It’s the beginning of November, and that means it’s time for my daily gratitude posts!

Each day in November, I share one thing for which I am grateful for that day, and I invite my readers to do the same!

Today, I am very grateful for my dearest friend, who makes my life more joyful.

  1. We had to get some unexpected, very expensive van repairs. It was so expensive that it drained our savings account and we had to put a little on a credit card. This is the first time we’ve used a credit card in decades and we were worried about paying it off. We’ll about a week after this happened we received a rebate from our health insurance company that will cover the credit card bill with some to spare. :-). God is so good!!!

  2. I am thankful that I set up dinner in the crock pot before work. It is one of my favorite appliances. Take out is getting so expensive that we can’t really do it more then one a month. There is plenty of leftovers for several lunches.

    1. Marybeth,
I am thankful for my crockpot as well. I use it all the time now, and have got one of my daughters using it as well. As a vegan, I specialize in soups from dried beans, which are delicious! In fact, I have one of my daughters now using one, and it was fun to teach her recipes..

  3. I am thankful for my family, and the many ways (large and small) that we care for each other, and for our little dog, who brings light and joy into our lives every day.

  4. I’m grateful that when I was in a car accident several weeks ago–(another driver hit me from behind when I was stopped at a red light)–no one was hurt. Her insurance company totalled my car and the payout ended up being more than what I paid for my car intially. I was able to pay off 2 small debts and put the rest down on a new -to -me car, (which will now be my only debt). I should be able to pay it off fairly quickly. The insurance company also sent me a check for $125 since I didn’t use a rental. I was thankful for the car I had but it’s so nice to pick out something I really wanted, within my means. 😀 GOD is so Good!!

  5. Ah, another reason to love November – I so enjoy these posts!

Today I am grateful that the dealership I took my car to for a recall had a loaner ready (they needed my car all day), and that everything is completely covered. Also very grateful that in the meantime the issue that was identified by the manufacturer didn’t cause any issues for me out on the road the past few years, considering we drove across the country three times during moves!

    Happy November, all!

  6. I am thankful that I was able to donate blood today. I donate every 2 months. Last time my iron was in the lower range–I was afraid I was going to be too low this time. My iron was a bit lower today, but still high enough to donate!

  7. I am especially thankful for my mother today as it is my birthday. She had attended a Halloween party dressed as Mother Nature and I arrived a few hours later. She continues to be one of my biggest supporters and one of the greatest gifts of my life is getting to know her as an adult and count her as a friend as well as my mom.
Thank you for continuing this tradition, Brandy! I enjoy the time for reflection every year. 🙂
